I accidentally stumbled into this Rahman Satay when I was invited to a dinner at 2828 Cafe which is located at the T-junction of Perak Road & Lim Khoon Huat Road by my friend last year (i.e. 2011). My friend ordered a few dishes from one of the popular 'Chu Char' Dishes from Kim Hooi Seafood for our dinner. While we were waiting to be served, my friend ordered a few sticks of satay which were made up of chicken, mutton and beef flavors from the Rahman Satay Stall. We had the Rahman Satays as our starters. I found that the Rahman Satays were very tasty and delicious. The Rahman Satay Stall is located at the right hand side of the 2828 Cafe along Perak Road.
I always patronize the 2828 Cafe during the day time for the Beef Koay Teow Soup (http://eatoutsam.blogspot.com/2010/11/popular-beef-koay-teow-soup-2828-cafe.html).
After tasting the yummy Rahman Satay, I craved for it and went there again. This time I was well prepared and armed with a camera to take snaps of the Rahman Satays.

The Classic Hokkien Mee (Hokkien Prawn Mee Noodle) has been operating at Classic Cafe which was formerly a Classic Lounge in the 70s, is located at a corner unit along a row of 3 Storey Shop Office with the address of No. 126, Perak Road, Penang and not far from the Heart of George Town.
In early days, this Prawn Mee Stall has no name and the local decided to named 'Classic Hokkien Mee (Hokkien Prawn Noodles)' because it operated in the Classic Cafe and it will be much easier to identify it.
My advise to you that if you want to eat or try out this Classic Hokkien Mee (Hokkien Prawn Noodles), you have to be there between 8.00 to 9.30 am to avoid the food been sold out. You will be surprised that when you reached the Classic Cafe, there will be a lot of waiting eager customers to be served and as you step inside the Classic Cafe, you will find that almost every customers are enjoying the Classic Hokkien Mee (Hokkien Prawn Noodles) as their breakfast or waiting to be served.
Some of local claimed that the owner of this stall is related to the owner of Super Hokkien Mee at One Corner Cafe which is located at Jalan Bawash Larut, Penang (i.e. Behind Fima/Cold Storage) but the taste of the their soup are totally difference from each other. I will leave that for someone to confirm it. ;-)

For the Small Bowl of Classic Hokkien Mee (Hokkien Prawn Noodles), it is always served with Bee Hoon (Thin Rice Vericelli / Thin Noodles made from Rice) and/or the local Yellow Mee (Your Choice). The slices of dried fresh shrimps as main ingredients/garnishing with slices of lean pork meat, kangkung (water spinach), bean sprouts and crisp deep-fried shallots. It must be served with piping hot soup which is made up of the combination of pork stock and shrimp stock. The soup is semi clear with light flavor of shrimps together with the sweetness from the combination of two(2) stocks. If you want the Classic Hokkien Mee (Hokkien Prawn Noodles) to be spicy then just add a few table spoons of chilly paste to it. Well, for me i prefer it to be spicy but not to be burning hot to numb my poor tongue.

It is suppose to be called it 'Congee' aka 'Jook' instead of 'Porridge'. A lot of people get very confused with both of the terms.Porridge is cooked to a thick consistency in water without any meat at all. Congee is also known as rice porridge and it is boiled with lots of water for a long time until the rice breaks down and becomes a fairly viscous white porridge.

I love this Ice Lemongrass Juice and it was so pleasant and refreshing with a mild taste of sweetness together the fragrance of lemongrass.
It can be served as a welcome drink. I was given to understand that the stalks of lemongrass, slices of ginger and pandan leaves were placed in a pot with water and brought to boil. Slight sugar was added to taste. Too much sugar will drown the aroma of lemongrass, ginger and pandan leaves. Nowadays a lot of people claimed that the lemongrass therapeutic drink will bring health benefits such as detoxify the body, improve blood circulation, anti-cancer, high antioxidant, reduce blood pressure & cholesterol, ease arthritic pain and etc.

STEPS SHOWING HOW TO ENJOY YOUR MOO KATA - THAI CHARCOAL GRILL & STEAMBOAT
Moo Kata literally means 'Pork Skillet' in English. This cooking utensil has been perfected over the centuries and consists of a dome shaped metal pan like a metal bowler hat or looked very similar to Kung Lao (one of the player characters in the Mortal Kombat fighting game series)'s hat with contraption sits on top of blazing hot charcoals contained in a sturdy clay pot and the trough flanked its circumference. You will find vertical air vents on the dome to allow the hot air of burning charcoal to escape. Choice of stock is filled in the trough.
Juice from the meat runs down the side of the dome and mixed with the stock, quickly turning into a broth. Green leafy vegetables are added into the trough to further enhence the taste to allow it to turn into a tasty soup, which is in then ladled into individual bowls.
As the meal continuously carry on you may sip the broth which has accumulated all the flavours on the Moo Kata.
Step # 01 : Fill up the trough with the provided stock.
Do not fill the stock in the trough until the topmost edge to allow the volume of the raw foods to be cooked in it.
Step # 02 : A chuck of pok lard is provided to lube up the upper portion of the vessel to prevent the meats from sticking during grilling.
Step # 03 : Carefully place the meats on top of the skillet neatly and load the green vegetable into the trough.
Seafood and meats may add into the broth to enhance the taste.
Step # 04 : Allow the tasty juices of grilled meats to flow down to the sides of the dome into the trough, creating a delicious broth.
Step # 05 : Ensure that the charcoals are alway blazing
Step # 06 : Using chopstick to turn the uncooked food
Step # 07 : A prefect grilled piece of pork bacon is ready to put into the watery mouth.

The belly of Salmon was carefully grilled and not to be over cooked. A few drops of marinated sauce was added while grilling to make ensure that it taste delicious. In fact, it does not need much of it for condiment and is great to eat with a squeeze of lime.
Be warned - It is advisable to let kids or elderly people to miss this belly part of salmon because of the bones in it.

RM9.50 per Plate
Rating of the Taste : 4/5
Note : 1-2 (Poor) / 3 (Average) / 4 (Good) / 5 (Very Good)
It is very similar to Chicken Cordon Bleu. Instead of using chicken meat, the chef used thin slice of pork to envelope the ham and cheese. Dipped it in beaten egg and coated it with breadcrumbs before deep fried until golden brown coloour. The melted cheese oozed out like lava when you cut it into half.
No. 22 : Chicken - Grilled Chicken Chop

The chicken thigh was well marinated and grilled. The moist and juiciness were well maintained too. It does not need the compliments from the sauces and taste superb.

RM15.00 per Plate
This Appetizer is served with raw ingredients (i.e. wild pepper/betel leaves [In Hokkien - longkau heuh/Bahasa Malaysia - daun kadok], dried shrimps [In Hokkien - hae eee], roasted peanuts, cut shallots, cut chilli padi [bird's eye chilies], galangal in cubes, toasted grated coconut, kaffir lime and lastly the special blended sauce with sweet & salty taste) and also very popular among Thai Food Lovers. All you have to do is use a fresh wild pepper/betel leave and to turn into a shape of a funnel. Then fill the ingredients inside and carefully wrap it. It is a mouthful appetizer and the wild pepper/betel leave will release a subtle, herbal aroma as you chew it. It tastes tangy, peppery and slightly bitter but it goes well with the ingredients.
No. 06 : SALAD - Yum Cha-Om Tod Krob (Crispy Cha-Om Topped with Thai Sauce)
RM12.90 per Small Plate
RM19.90 per Large Plate
No. 07 : SALAD - Yum Pla Duk Fu (Deep Fried Catfish in Spicy & Sour Salad)

Deep fried fluffy catfish served with sour mango strips, carrot strips, sliced onions, cut chilli padi (bird's eye chili) and roasted peanuts, top with sweet spicy sauce. The fluff gives you the crunchy bit.
You are advised to consume this dish fast before the fluff loses its crispness.
No. 08 : CHICKEN - Gaeng Massamam Gai
RM12.90 per Small Bowl
RM22.90 per Large Bowl
CNN Go named Massaman Curry as No. 1 of World's 50 most delicious foods and hailed as king of all food or king of curries. Some claimed that it was originated from Southern Thailand. From far away it looks like Curry Kapitan. The curry sauce is a mixture of curry paste, roasted peanuts, coconut milk and a hint of nutmeg & cinnamon, together 2 drumsticks and a few chunks of potatoes which have been delightfully soaked up the curry like a sponge and garnished with peppermint leaves.
No. 09 : FISH - Pla Kra Pong Neung Manow (Steam Fish (Siakap) with Lime & Chili Sauce)
Gagroupa Fish : RM55.00 (Small) / RM78 (Large)
Siakap Fish : RM35.00 (Small) / RM55.00 (Large)
The whole steamed sea bass was soaked in a tangy spicy lime juice sauce and served in a metal fish shaped pan with a candle lit underneath to keep it warm/steaming.
No. 10 : TOM YAM - Tom Yam Ruam Mit Talay (Spicy Thai Tom Yam Mixed Seafood)
RM21.90 per Small Pot
RM38.90 per Large Pot
The chinese looking steam boat was filled with the reddish soup teeming with the prawns, squids, fish, oyster mushroom, coriander, tomato, chopped spring onions, lemongrass, galangal, chilli padi (bird's eye chili) and kaffir lime leaves. It is a different version from the clear soup - Tom Yum Nam Sai and also has sour, salty, spicy and sweet taste in one bowl. This is one of the authentic Thai delicacy that many locals are passionate about and has spread around the world. I do not problem with spicy food and if you do, you can let the manager/waitress/waiter know about it so that it will not explode as it touches the tip of your tongue.
No. 11 : SPECIAL DISH - Pad Sam Rod (Deep Fried Roasted Duck with Triple Taste Sauce)
RM18.90 per Small Plate

Using coconut shell to fill with steamed mixed seafood (i.e. prawns, squids and fish) and shredded white cabbage flavoured with curry paste, coconut milk and basil . Before serving, top with fresh coconut flesh at the side. Very authetic way of serving this dish.
No. 13 : DESSERT - Khao Neow Mamuang (Thai Sweet Sticky Rice)
RM9.90 per Small Plate
RM16.90 per Large Plate
Some deep fried mung beans as a garnish on top of the cooked sticky rice with mild salted & sweetness of coconut milk together with slices of ripened mango.
No. 14 : DESSERT - Tub Tim Krob (Chilled Water Crestnut with Jackfruit & Fresh Cocunut Milk)
RM4.50 per Bowl
The thick white coconut milk together with the red rubies made from siam water chestnut with tapioca flour and sliced jackfruit. The red rubies make the look of Tub Tim Krob more exquisite. It is perfect as sweet and refreshing finish to any meal.

On 28th October 2011 (i.e. Friday), I dined with a special friend of mine in said Wang Thai Restaurant by using the said coupons. We ordered Set A Meals together with an additional dish which was Goong Si Da (Steamed Prawns with Favourite Thai Spicy and Sour Sauce). It was strongly recommended by the Manager.
No. 15 : Appetizer - Hoi Jor Tod (Deep Fried Pork wrapped in Tauhu Skin)
RM12.90 (5 Pieces) / RM21.90 (10 Pieces)
The minced pork mixed prawn & others was carefully wrapped with bean curd sheet (Tauhu Skin) before deep fried. We loved this dish. The taste was very similar to the traditional Chinese dish - crab meat balls (chim choh) with thin crispy layer of bean curd sheet and If you love it, you will definitely like this dish without saying it any further. The dish will be loved by the children because it is not spicy. Watch out !!! If you ordered 5 pieces, I bet that it would not be sufficient because you will crave for more.

No. 16 : Vegetable - Pada Kana Pla Kem (Stir Fried Kailan with Salted Fish)
RM12.90 per Small Plate / RM19.90 per Big Plate
Stir fried selected Kailan (Vegetable) with the outer fiber removed together with salted fish and sliced carrot as garnish to the dish. The dish is a bit salty because of the added salted fish. This dish is commonly found and available in the southern Thailand and near the Malaysian Thai Border.
No. 17 : Curry - Gaeng Keaw Wan Gai ( Green Curry Chicken)
RM12.90 per Small Bowl / RM22.90 per Big Bowl
One of the famous & popular Thai Dishes is Thai Green Curry which love by a lot of Malaysians. Combination of green curry paste, chuck of chicken meat, coconut milk, egg plant, Thai basil, lemon grass, galangal, lime leaves and etc make this curry an unforgettable blend of delights. It is perfectly to be eaten with rice to sop up every intricate drop because it is usually prepared quite soupy.

Cautious : This dish is spicy and flaming.
We had a satisfied hearty meal together with the cool cozy ambiance and also a very wonderful memorable moment. I will dine with my special friend there again whenever we have the chance.

The restaurant is named after Sukhothai which is one of the north central provinces of Thailand and also carries the meaning of "Dawn of Happiness'. Sukhothai was founded by Pho Khun Sri Indraditya in the 13th century on the fringe of Khmer Empire.
Within this year, surprisingly a number of Thailand Restaurants have sprung up in Pulau Tikus area and Sukhothai Beef Noodles House is one of latest.
Sukhothai Beef Noodles House is situated along the business two way traffic of Jalan Burmah. As you travell along Jalan Burmah from George Town, you can never miss Wisma Perkeso which is painted with blue color at the T-junction of Burmah Road & Codrington Avenue on your left hand side and the restaurant is exactly diagonally opposite. It is located at No. 238, Jalan Burmah, 10350 George Town, Penang beside Clinic Bala.

No. 06 : Thai Sauces - Dried Chili Powder, Fish Sauce, Sugar and Wet Chili Paste

No. 09 : Sukhothai Beef Noodles (Original) served with Beef Meat Balls, Small Chuck of Beef Meats, Beef Tendons and Chopped Coriander
RM12.90 per Bowl
Note : Sukhothai Beef Noodles are available with 3 Choices of Noodles (i.e. Original, Glass Noodles or Instant Noodles)
Rating of the Taste : 4/5
Note : 1-2 (Poor) / 3 (Average) / 4 (Good) / 5 (Very Good)
I love the 3 different textures of beef. Be rest assured that the small chuck of beef meats and beef tendons are tender. Besides that it does not have heavy scent of beef. The soup is made of fish sauce, selected herbs and beef stock. I was told by the owner of the restaurant that a few pieces of rock sugar is added into it to make soup taste with mild sweetness. You may add Dried Chili Powder as condiment to the soup and also to make it more spicy.
The Americans call it by it's Spanish name 'Cilantro' while the English call it 'Coriander'. It refer to the same herb. The leaves are commonly used to garnish soups. Coriander yield a very strong smell and taste and I have found that not many people really love it.
No. 10 : A Basket of Raw Bean Sprouts and Thai Basil Leaves
A basket full of raw bean sprouts and thai basil leaves are provided for those who wish to add to their Beef Noodles or Fish Maw Soups.

Rating of the Taste : 4/5
Note : 1-2 (Poor) / 3 (Average) / 4 (Good) / 5 (Very Good)
The Chef is using the same soup base for this dish but with Glass Noodles ('Tang Hoon'). The taste is slightly very similar to Japanese Sukiyaki Beef because of mild sweetness but unfortunately you will not find any slices beef instead of small chuck of beef meats. The Cellophane noodles aka Glass Noodles go well with the soup and also are truely irresistible! Do not miss out this dish when you are dining there.
No. 12 : Fish Maw Soup
RM19.90 per Pot
Rating of the Taste : 4/5
Note : 1-2 (Poor) / 3 (Average) / 4 (Good) / 5 (Very Good)
The taste of this Fish Maw Soup reminded me of the Thai Style Shark Fin Soup when I stepped into Hatyai Town of Thailand which is a city in southern Thailand near the Malaysian Border in the early 70s. Fish Maws are used instead of using Shark Fins which will save millions of sharks from being finned each year. Not forgetting to add Raw Bean Sprouts and Thai Basil Leaves into the mini pot.
No. 13 : Pad Thai
RM12.90 per Plate
Rating of the Taste : 4/5
Note : 1-2 (Poor) / 3 (Average) / 4 (Good) / 5 (Very Good)

RM12.90 per Plate
Rating of the Taste : 4/5
Note : 1-2 (Poor) / 3 (Average) / 4 (Good) / 5 (Very Good)
The Cooked Thai Rice is used for this dish. The look of this dish is very similar to the Chinese Golden Fried Rice by using egg yolks only to create this dish. While frying the rice, fish sauce was added and the result was amazing - bursting with flavour.
No. 14 : Thai Dessert - Mango Sticky Rice served with Slices of Ripened Yellowish Mango, Black Glutinous Rice/Black Sticky Rice (Chut-Bi - used to make Bee Koh Moy) and Sticky Rice together with fresh coconut milk (santan)

RM4.90 per Bowl
Rating of the Taste : 4/5
Note : 1-2 (Poor) / 3 (Average) / 4 (Good) / 5 (Very Good)
This Banana Sago is creamy with coconut milk and sweet. If you love Bubur Cha-Cha you will definately enjoying eating this as your dessert after finishing your main course.
No. 16 : Thai Dessert - Durian Sticky Rice served with
RM8.90 per Bowl
Rating of the Taste : 4/5

No. 29 : A charming Lady Host was interviewing one of the bloggers

My facebook friends Reggie Gunn and his wife Caleste Betty who flied all the way from Kota Kinabalu to Penang Island which is also known as 'The Pearl of the Orient' to celebrate their 1st Anniversary and they checked in at Hard Rock Hotel Penang from 16th to 18th July 2011 (i.e. 3D 2N).
On 2nd day (i.e. 17th July 2011 / Sunday) we dropped by Straits Quay which is Penang's first and only retail marina on our way back to Hard Rock Hotel Penang after visiting the Pinang Peranakan Mansion at Church Street and having our lunch at Hing Kee Restaurant at China Street. Straits Quay is one of the tourist hotspots and also Penang's latest must-visit destination.
After the sightseeing at Straits Quay, friends decided to step into Charlie Brown Cafe Malaysia which was officially opened at Straits Quay on the early April this year to have a feel about of it which is the first outlet of Charlie Brown Cafe in Malaysia. Santorini ? What is that ? A lot of locals will start to wonder what is 'Santorini'. Well, Santorini is an island located in the southern Aegean Sea between Greece and Turkey. During the thirteenth (13th) century, the Latin Empire named it 'Santorini'. Before it was known as Kallístē (The Most Beautiful One), Strongýlē (The Circular One) or Thēra. I assume that how the proprietors of Santorini Cafe have found a meaningful word for it and named the cafe after the island.
Santorini Cafe is located at No. 94, Burmah Road, 10050 George Town, Penang. It is situated on the left hand side of Burmah Road as you travell along Burmah Road from Penang Road. It is a few doors away after a tall brown building of Chew Thean Yeang Aquarium Sdn Bhd aka CTY Aquarium which is a Pet Shop.

Chendol is commonly sold by the street vendors or food court and also one of the most favourite desserts among the Malaysians. Chendol are served in a cold mixture of coconut milk, brown syrup made from the local gula melaka and shaved ice. It is thirst quencher and lovely dessert for hot and humid days.
I would like to share a delicious soft and chewy jellies Chendol with you. The Chendol Stall has been existed in the MPPP Tapak Penjaja Lebuh Cecil (Food Court) which has been located at Cecil Street, Penang, for many years and not many Penangites or others are aware of this Chendol Stall. Cecil Street is known as '7th Street' to the local.
You have to enter the last side entrance of the MPPP Tapak Penjaja Lebuh Cecil (Food Court) along Lebuh McNair or near the junction of Lebuh McNair and Lebuh Herriot. As you enter into the Food Court, you will notice a Nyonya Kuih Stall and the Chendol Stall is just right behind it.
How do you define a delicious Chendol ??? Well, for me I will look into the texture of the jellies Chendol. I would prefer not to have a lot rice flour the in jellies Chendol. Besides that they must glossy, smooth and chewy.

Durian Feast at the Stone House Plantation (Rumah Batu) which is located at the southwest hilly regions of Penang Island, is a durian orchard consist of 3.6 ha and was arranged by my friend Ms. Grace Lim. Some durian trees are more than five decades old. Normally the old durian trees will bear more tasty and delicious fruits.
It is not easy to locate because it is off the main road. Some claimed that the fertile hill soil, temperature and rainfall makes it ideal for durian cultivation. Durian is a forest fruit and eating it in a natural village surround is a different experience together. Some prefer to squat beside the road-side while licking their fingers away just like enjoying Kentucky Fried Chicken.
Over the years, the popularity of Penang’s durians which is known as KING of Fruits has attracted thousands, both Malaysians and foreigners, to visit Penang Island to savour the fresh fruits at the farms.
It was fine Sunday morning on 19th June 2011, Ms. Bea Chia, Ms. Grace Lim, Ms. Liann Chong Mr. Gianfranco Prati, Ms. Grace Lim’s Brother & Sister-In-Laws and myself gathered at Jalan Lim Lean Teng. At 10.00 am we made our way to Stone House Plantation (Rumah Batu) which is located in the midst hills at Balik Pulau by waving through the busy road of Jalan Air Itam. We took a shorter distance to Balik Pulau by using Jalan Tun Sardon.
Before reaching the little town of Balik Pulau near the 'Kompleks Pasar Awam Balik Pulau' of Lintang Bukit Penara 1 the smell of durian greeted us. The smell was getting stronger as we were passing Sekolah Jenis Kebangsaan (Cina) Chong Teik. Durian Stalls were erected along the road infront of the school. The rubbish centre and bins were filled with unwanted durian skins.
The sleeping township of Balik Pulau were invaded and wakened by durian lovers and it became alive. Again we had to drive through the heavy narrow traffic road of Balik Pulau to turn off into Jalan Sungai Pinang. As we turned into Jalan Sungai Pinang, the flow of the traffic was smoother with less vehicles and the heavy durian scent started to fade.
After passing Sekolah Menangah Kebangsaan Sg Pinang, there was a huge signage showing the direction to Pantai Acheh at the T Junction, we turned into Jalan Pantai Acheh. We passed by a small wet market which is located on our left hand side and Sekolah Jenis Kebangsaan (Cina) Sin Min which is located on our right hand side.
As we were passing by the chinese school and wet market, we came across a bridge. We turned into the off road on our right hand side immediately after crossing the bridge. That off road which allows one vehicle only and will lead us to Stone House Plantation (Rumah Batu).
While travelling along the off road, we enjoyed the cool fresh air and the shades of the tall fruit trees. Upon reaching the neighbourhood with the rubble pitching wall, we were about 100 ft away from the entrance to Stone House Plantation (Rumah Batu). The entrance was on the right hand side with a small concrete bridge built across the narrow stream. There were signages along the path showing the direction to the Stone House Plantation (Rumah Batu). As we travelled along the path, we found the erected Stone House (Rumah Batu) on the gentle slope.

No. 18 : Mr. Gianfranco Prati was posing with the
Lempuk/Durian Kuih (Durian Cake) in his hand
Durian Cake (Lempuk/Durian Kuih) is a traditional durian product that is long lasting, ready to eat and classified as Intermidiate Food Moisture (IMF), a product that features itself as a conventional dry food that is stable and as a fresh food that can easily spoil. The features much depend on the moisture content and/or water activity.
Traditional produced Lempuk/Durian Kuih (Durian Cake) is a mixture of durian flesh and sugar, non-glutinous flour as the coupling agent and water. The mixture which is porridge-like is then contiously cooked until it reaches its desired stickness with constant heat. While cooking the mixture, it must be constantly stirred to prevent it from getting burnt. The Lempuk/Durian Kuih (Durian Cake) which is still hot will be shaped into various lengths and diameters. The colour ranges from bright to dark gold and packed in an appropriate plastic filament packaging. The protein content is quite low but its energy level is high.

No. 04 : The Preparation & Brewing of Coffee
The 4 common basic steps of preparing coffee are as follows; Coffee may be purchased unprocessed, or already roasted, or already roasted and ground. Nowadays coffee is often vacuum packed to prevent oxidation and also from losing its properties (i.e. strength). The ground coffee is mixed with hot boiling water for it to brew, and the unwanted gounds will be separated from the liquid coffee for drinking.
In the Full of Beans, you can find that they are using siphone method which is also known as vacuum brewing as shown in one of pictures above. The whole setup appratus of brewing reminds me of the science laboratory during my schoold days. It consists of two chambers: a pot below, atop which is set a bowl or funnel with its siphon descending nearly to the bottom of the pot. The bottom of the bowl is blocked by a filter of glass, cloth or plastic, and the bowl and pot are joined by a gasket that forms a tight seal. Water is placed in the pot, the coffee grounds are placed in the bowl, and the whole apparatus is set over a burner. As the water heats, it is forced by the increasing vapor pressure up the siphon and into the bowl where it mixes with the grounds. When all the water possible has been forced into the bowl the brewer is removed from the heat. As the water vapor in the pot cools, it contracts, forming a partial vacuum and drawing the coffee down through the filter.
Besides the siphon method, there is also another unusual way of processing the coffee which is called Iced Drip Coffee or also known as cold brew coffee. It is done by using a pot of water above a bin of coffee grounds and filter, the water will then slowly drip through the coffee grounds at a rate of about two drips per second. This seeps through the coffee and filter, eventually spinning down the condensation tubes and into a waiting beaker.
1) Brazil Santos (RM9.50 per Cup) - More suitable for beginners to go with,
2) Mandheling (RM9.50 per Cup) - This is one is stronger than the Brazil Santos.
3) Mocha (RM9.50 per Cub) - Among the 3, Mocha has the strongest aroma and thickest taste.
4) Ice Drip Coffee (RM15.00 per Cub) - Ice Drip Coffee is different from the above because it is served cold. If you are local coffee lover, you will know the taste of the local coffee which are kept in the refrigerator from the Kopitam (Coffee Shop). The taste is a bit sourish as the coffee itself has been fermented.
You will be advised not take your coffee without added sugar because the desserts are already sweet and not to overshadow it. Sweet Forest is serving all kinds of dessert to the diners to savour as a complement to Full of Beans and also offers a selection of sweet treats.

Fresh strawberry fruits was covered on the top of this cake and the side was full of almond flakes. Layers of cheese were found in between and cookie base at the bottom. Right combination with strawberry flavour always yields good taste.
No. 15 : Pandan Layer Cheese Cake
6 ins : RM42.00 / 9 ins : RM75.00
The cake is made with pandan, layered with cheese and cookies base. Pandanus Amaryllifolius which is a tropical plant and commonly found in the garden or backyard. It is known by the local as pandan. and widely used in Asia cooking. The pandan leaves have its own characteristic aroma. Now the leaves are used as a flavouring for desserts and sweet beverages. Frankly speaking I love the cheese cake with the padan flavoring but not with the coconut flakes.
No. 16 : Semolina Cake
6 ins : RM35.00 / 9 ins : RM58.00
This cake is a bit dry if you compare with the aforesaid cakes. I love the fruity ingredients.

Rating of the Taste : 3/5
Note : 1-2 (Poor) / 3 (Average) / 4 (Good) / 5 (Excellent)
This dish is a bit spicy. Lately Kam Heong Crab was added in the Menu of Pang (Hainan) Seafood. You will find the crabs are cooked with curry leaves, sliced onions, dried salted shrimps together with turmeric curry paste or powder. Butter and evaporated milk should be added to it towards the end of the cooking to enhence the fragrance.

(Note : Min Order 2 Nos)
Rating of the Taste : 3/5
Note : 1-2 (Poor) / 3 (Average) / 4 (Good) / 5 (Excellent)
This Dish was very well presented. I found too much sliced onions and green pepper in this dish. I prefer the black pepper to be coarsed instead of fine. In order to get the tastes extremely pungent and spicy of the black pepper.

Cautious! Chilli Padi which is also known as Bird's eye chilli has been used in this dish. Chilli Padi are largely used in the Thai Cuisine. It will add special fragrance to the dish and also burning hot sensation to the food. Normally for this dish, the gravy is rich with sweet and sour flavour together with beaten egg. When I tasted this dish I felt like I was in Thailand.

I felt that the prawns did not marinate well enough because of the shell. The shell of the prawns at the middle section between the head and tail should be removed or made a slit down the prawn's back. While slitting the prawn's back, the intestines can be removed too. By doing that it will be able to marinate well together with the ingrediants before cooking.
No. 15 : Deep Fried Sotong (Squid)
RM17.00 per Medium Plate
By adding a little bit of turmeric curry paste or powder to it, will make the taste a lot of difference. This dish pairs well with Beer.

As a Penangite, I am so proud the Launching of Time Out Penang. Hoping that it will take Penang to a greater height in tourism and also become one of international tourists' hotspots soon.

On the early morning of 17th June 2011, I decided to explore along Chowrasta Road and Kuala Kangsar Road and check out the Hawkers Stalls of Curry Mee, Chee Cheong Jook (Cantonese Congee Style) and others too. The Curry Mee Stall is still there. Chee Cheong Jook (Cantonese Congee Style)Stall was closed.
In fact, I have not been there for a long time. During my childhood days, I used to stay with Uncle at Chowrasta Road during my long school days. I enjoyed every moment with my cousins. A lot things have changed because of the time.
As i strolled along Kuala Kangsar Road, I noticed a familar face at the Wan Tan Mee (Noodle) Stall and realised that the Hawker of Wan Tan Mee (Noodle) who was formerly operating in Kheng Pin Cafe at the junction of Penang Road and Sri Bahari Road. I was given to understand that he has moved out of the cafe for 8 years. Last time i used to patronized his stall. He has a other twin brother who looks almost like each other (Identical Twins) and he is operating in a Coffee Shop at Free School Road.

Overall I prefer Wan Tan Mee (Noodle) - Dry Type and 'Hor Fun' (Wide Koay Teow) - Dry Type.
This time you will not find any mushroom on top of the Wan Tan Mee (Noodle) as he used to do that when he was at Kheng Pin Cafe. I had a light conversation with him regarding the mushroom and he told me that it was too expensive to put the mushroom together with the Wan Tan Mee (Noodle) because the price of good mushroom has gone up around RM100.00 per kg and it was too taxing for him to do so. So he has decided to make the Wan Tan Mee (Noodle) affordable for everyone.
No. 10 : A Hot Cup of Kopi 'O' Kaw
RM0.80 per Cup
The taste of the Kopi 'O' Kaw is acceptable. Most of the Coffee Shop Operators are charging RM0.90 to RM1.10 per Hot Cup of Kopi 'O' Kaw.
I was very glad that until todate I still can find something C&G (Cheap & Good) in the Heart of George Town on that morning and also have a good satisfying breakfast too.
Believe it or Not !!!
Most of the Hawkers are charging RM2.50 to RM3.00 for a small plate/bowl in the Heart of George Town and it is hardly to get this Wan Tan Mee (Noodle) for RM2.00.

De Tittle Dinning Cabin is located at No. 97, Lorong Selamat, 10400 Penang which is a one way street and you can turn into Lorong Selamat from Jalan Macalister only. I was cordially invited to witness the launching of Carlsberg's ACE Program at Hard Rock Hotel, Penang on the 30th May 2011 (i.e. Monday) at 11.00am.
The Launching of Carlsberg's ACE Program was kicked off smoothly accordingly to the schedule.
Carlsberg Malaysia has designed a brand new trade programme, known as the “A” Class Experience (ACE) Program for its supportive trade partners in recognition of their continuous support and effective partner ship. ACE Program is a series of educational and practical training that is aimed at assisting F&B operators in raising the bar to meet the growing expectations of customers in today’s competitive industry.
Designed in collaboration with Taylor’s University, the leading educational institution in Malaysia, this ACE Program will be conducted in Penang on 30th May followed by Johor Baharu on 31 and Kuala Lumpur on 1 June 2011. ACE Program syllabus consist of both off-site and classroom training that will equip Carlsberg Malaysia’s trade partners with a better understanding of the brands under Carlsberg Malaysia as well as day-to-day bar operation skills and customer service excellence. In addition to that, participants will also be able to experience exclusive training with World Class Brewers.
Carlsberg Malaysia will reward the best performing participant of this ACE Program with a fully paid 14-day trip cum practical training to the Jacobsen Brewery and Visitor’s Centre in Copenhagen, Denmark in the year 2012. This winning participant will get the chance to gain exclusive experiences at the Carlsberg headquarters that brewed the first ever Carlsberg beer.
As for the 1st and 2nd runner up, both will also be rewarded with a fully paid trip to one of the Luen Heng F&B Sdn Bhd is the leading supplier in the distribution of premium consumer Beer, Wine & Spirits throughout East & West Malaysia.
“Carlsberg is a brand that strongly believes in ‘Doing The Right Thing’. With that in mind, our partnership with Taylor’s University in this ACE Program aims to provide a rewarding and beneficial experience to our valued trade partners, “ says Soren Ravn, Managing Director of Carlsberg Malaysia.
All of these training are made at no cost to the trade partners as Carlsberg Malaysia would like to ensure that this training will benefit the trade partners’ business. This is to showcase that Carlsberg Malaysia is 100% behind its trade partners that made Carlsberg Malaysia the preferred beer brand among its trade partners in Malaysia.
“It is a privilege for Taylor’s to be a part of Carlberg Malaysia’s ACE Program.
