Batman bin Suparman Masuk Penjara 13 Nov 2013 5:28 PM (11 years ago)

Fullamak. Anak beranak superhero kah? Ini kisah warga Singapura keturunan Jawa dengan nama yang amat unik sekali. Baru je masuk penjara. Kenapa?

Rupanya sebelum ni gambar identity card Batman bin Suparman ni dah pun tersebar viral.

Butterfly Project:Luau Party with Kinohimitsu! 8 Nov 2013 6:47 AM (11 years ago)

Dear  Butterfly Project,
I'm writing this entry with one sole purpose only - to secure the exclusive invitation to
the 1st ever Luau Party with Kinohimitsu at Villa Manja.

Unfortunately Air Asia does not fly to Hawaii for me to experience Luau. Not sure I can do the hula dance but upon hearing there is a Luau Party in KL - I want to join! I just secure a new job, so this party sounds perfect for me.. hehe..

Dearie Butterfly Project,
I have fun with the Bubble Gum Wax Dare To Wax challenge and cant wait to have more fun with the other butteflies.

Oh ya my sweet Butterfly Project...
Have I told you that I'm using the Kinohimitsu Health Pad? Most people call it as a detox pad, to remove toxin from our body while we are sleeping. Some might questioned its benefit, but so far it does wonder to me - especially when I'm totally exhausted. Put it on my feet before sleeping, and usually I will wake up early feeling light and fully rested.

My ever dearest Butterfly Project ,
Pick me. Shower me with goodies and prizes from Kinohimitsu. Let me try my luck with the spin the wheel lucky draw. I might just come with the best dress that night. ^wink^ ^wink^.

Sincerely,
A caterpillar by the name Atika Ramlan.

I WIN: Halls of Horror Movie Marathon 6 Oct 2013 10:35 PM (11 years ago)

The lucky strikes continues! This is even better than the normal Premiere Screening I've attended. Thanks Cinema Online!

This is the 2nd time I won premiere screening invites from Cinema Online. But this time even better! Its a movie marathon of Insidious followed by the premiere screening of Insidious 2. Not only that ya, dinner will be served as well as we are going to watch it at TGV 1 Utama LUXE hall

The unique part of it: it has Halloween theme. Hehehe. Reminded me of last year Tribal Halloween at Genting. Based from the event details, there is also a lucky draw session. Usually I'm not that lucky, but still hoping.. ahaks.

Oh ya. How I win the invites? Normally it's on Cinema Online website, but this time it's a Facebook contest. Just need to come out with creative answer for the pictures. To increase my luck, I commented 3 times. Hehehe. 2 of the comments I need to Google to get inspiration, only 1 is spontaneous. (yes, I'm very serious in entering contest)

You love to enter contest? Jom join my newly-created Facebook Group:
Gila Contest Buddies.

Jumpa Artis di KRU Studios Cyberjaya 13 Sep 2013 5:25 AM (11 years ago)

Hari ini amat best. Jumpa ramai artis untuk rakaman rancangan Betul ke Bohong di KRU Studios, Cyberjaya. Nak tahu cara jumpa mereka dengan mudah dan percuma?

Before that, let me tell you ni 1st time tengok live recording rancangan TV. Bukan tak minat, tapi banyak tempat macam jauh. Kali ni bila tengok Lisa Surihani share pasal rakaman rancangan Betul ke Bohong ni, apalagi, terus try laaa.. hehehe.

Seperti biasa AC Mizal la pengacaranya. Kali ini artis jemputan ialah
Team 1: Ajak Shiro, Fendi Balas dan Lisa Surihani
Team 2: Shahrul Shiro, Yusry KRU dan Azwan Ali.

Serius aku tak sangka gila happening dan kelakar. Personally, before this I think AC Mizal is a bit too loud and not really funny. Tapi bila tengok depan-depan, he is a funny guy. Even sebelum rakaman start, dia dah mula lighten up the mood and buat kelakar. Especially lawak dendam 4U2C dan KRU.. hehehe.

Cant tell much. Yang pasti memang riuh rendah. Gamat. Happening. Best.

Oh ya, I sit at the front row. Gonna hate to see me on TV, haha. I was actually lucky ebab tersilap masuk bilik artis-artis belakang backstage tu. Tapi no courage nak amek gambar kat situ.

So nak tahu cara nak dapat free passes untuk tonton rakaman Betul ke Bohong? Baca sini: Cara Tonton Percuma Rakaman Betul ke Bohong.

Cara Tonton Percuma Rakaman Betul ke Bohong 13 Sep 2013 5:21 AM (11 years ago)

Senang je nak dapatkan free passes untuk sesi rakaman Betul Ke Bohong. Sesi rakaman ini bermula 11-17 September 2013. Mudah sangat.
Ikut je cara-cara di bawah:

1. Layari TV LIVE
2. Mesti akan dapat pop-up page ni:

3. Ikut saja arahan gambar di atas tu. Daftar, sahkan akaun. Kemudian klik dekat "Free Shows". Pilih Betul Ke Bohong . Pilih tarikh, masa dan berapa tiket. Last sekali dapat QR Code. Dia emailkan juga sekali.

** I save the QR code dekat smartphone je sebab tak suka print- cintailah alam sekitar. Tapi masa kat studio, takde pun diorang check. hehe..

Selepas semua dah selesai, apa lagi. Silalah cari jalan ke ofis KRU Studios. Senang je nak cari kalau biasa dengan Cyberjaya or pandai tengok Google Maps. Hehehe.

I'm going again 17 September slot 1pm. Sape nak join? Hehe..

Movie Review: The Internship at Google! 10 Sep 2013 9:13 PM (11 years ago)

Patut atau tidak nonton movie The Internship lakonan Owen Wilson dan Vince Vaughn ni? Yay or Nay?

Thanks to ChurpChurp, once again I win 2 invitation for #Churpremiere of The Internship semalam ( 10 Sept 2013). Premiere screening bebeh! hehe.

Okay, about the movie reviewCerita pasal 2 salesman yang tiba-tiba jobless lepas syarikat mereka bekerja ditutup. So 1 of them apply untuk jadi Intern di Google  Walaupun tak layak, tapi last2 berjaya gak diterima. Then bermula la kisah mereka untuk layak diterima bekerja full-time di Google

Jalan cerita is ok to me, takdela hebat sangat. SIMPLISTIC. I dont think so cara mereka pilih the interns tu betul-betul macam Google Tapi I really enjoy the movie dari mula sampai closing credit! Which is rare coz some movie ada time kita rasa macam boring or slow. Positive value pun ada dalam cerita ni, dan I appreciate cerita ni tak banyak mencarut2 to be funny.

Tahu tak Google is considered the Best Employer sebab wujudkan fun, relaxed working environment at the office? So inilah peluang untuk tengok sendiri suasana pejabat Google. Free food, nap pod, colourful bicycle, Google bus, slider in the office and lots more.

I love segmen diorang main Quidditch, especially to grab the Golden Snitch! (Yes, if you dont watch Harry Potter, you wont understand it heheh)

My Verdict: 4.5 / 5
Mood: Satisfied.

Cepat cepat! Promosi 50% discount Delicious ini terhad. Hanya pada 9 September 2013!

Have your read my previous post Delicious 50% Promo in September?
So inilah harinya. 09/09/2013. Hari ini I went to Delicious Midvalley for lunch. So I ordered Duck Confit Spaghetti (sedap but I dont really like dry spaghetti). My friend ordered Carbonara yang hot dan sedap (mmg my fav).

The food and drinks memang nice. Nothing less sebab diskaun 50% ni. Cuma yang almost make me hangin and pelik is air lambat sampai. Dari dulu selalu experience this. Even though my friend ordered mineral water je tadi. Haishhh.

Total we pay? Tengoklah sendirik. Pergh! Kalau la Delicious ni ada kat IOI Mall, memang aku pegi lagi sekali untuk dinner. Tadi pun tengok ada some yang tapau.

So guys- silalah pergi! Hari ini sahaja. Semua cawangan. Sepanjang hari. Semua ala carte menu.

Ayat Basi bila Minyak RON95 dan Diesel naik 20 sen. 2 Sep 2013 3:14 AM (11 years ago)

Minyak RON 95 dan Diesel confirm naik 20 sen seliter.. Ala 20sen je, bukan singgit kan?

Kenaikan harga minyak ni bermula tengah malam ni telah diumumkan oleh Perdana Menteri tersayang Najib Tun Razak. Tepat 12:01 tengah malam. Ini amatlah bertentangan dengan beberapa puak yang kunun2 kata berita itu hanya khabar angin. PHUIIIII. Siap ade 1 statement dr KPDNKK aku baca tghari tadi..

Berita baik? BRIM akan dinaikkan. Baik sungguh berita itu.

Mari kita teka ayat basi kerajaan setiap kali minyak naik.

1. Kerajaan menyeru peniaga agar tidak sewenang-wenangnya menaikkan harga.
2. Kerajaan akan pastikan ada plan komprehensif untuk melindungi rakyat/pengguna.
3 . Harga minyak Malaysia masih paling rendah berbanding ... (isi tempat kosong. Macam2 boleh diisi).
4. Kenaikan harga minyak perlu untuk meringankan beban subsidi kerajaan
5. Kalau tak suka minyak naik, sila naik basikal/jalan kaki!

Dan pihak pembangkang akan mula keluarkan kata-kata sinis pulak. Mari kita teka teh tarik nanti naik berapa sen. Nantikan saja.

Myself? Saya mungkin terpaksa kurangkan attend #Churpremiere or #NNPremiereScreening yang jauh2. haha.

Syukurlah Malaysia masih aman......

#TSDayOut at DEMC Selangor 1 Jul 2013 7:32 AM (11 years ago)

Oh I had fun thanks to Tourism Selangor for #TSDayOut at Darul Ehsan Medical Centre (DEMC). This is my first time joining it, and I'm blessed to be part of our medical tourism.

Darul Ehsan Medical Centre (DEMC) introduces the hospital boutique concept to Malaysia and believe in not just corrective, but preventive treatment. I really love their philosophy:
You were born with great foundation, we are here to enhance it.
We were first given a briefing from Tourism Selangor and DEMC representatives. After an insightful introduction, shoot to a healthy breakfast at DEMC Sutera Lounge. Wallawei, just see the pictures. This is so unlike the normally dull patients' food right? This is a gourmet buffet offered by DEMC; Sutera Lounge offered to their privileged Sutera Lounge Card Member. More on it here: Sutera Lounge DEMC.

We almost didnt want to leave, the food was yummylicious! But we were then escorted to our main agenda, to DEW Wellness Centre. Here, we get health screening analysis and also also dermatology treatment. However, only 6 participants were selected to underwent Laser Aesthetic Treatment -Skin Rejuvenation due to time constraint. Others were given vouchers to do it at a different time. I'm lucky to be consulted by the dietitian based from the health screening report. Me is fatty bam-bam!

Then a personalized tour to introduced us on what else is offered at DEMC. Perghhh, I'm impressed with the Pediatric Ward and Executive Wards and Suites. DEMC really strive to offer boutique experience to their patients - I can overheard others mistakenly mentioned "hotel" instead of hospital! Too bad I can't view the suites since we were told they have different theme.

Lastly makan time again (sedap!) and prize giving to those who captured best pictures of DEMC. I didnt win, me is sad..

Lucky me to be able to snap a picture with the CEO of DEMC: Dato' Dr. Omar bin Abdul Hamid. A very sempoi leader I must say. DEMC should start their Instagram account - social media is really powerful Dato'!

On a personal note, I am no stranger to DEMC. It is like my family's hospital. Few of my family members had been admitted here, my nephews were born and treated here. So far, not much complain-we were really treated promptly and courteously. The only fuss we ever made here is because the hotel hospital were FULLY BOOKED! So their ongoing project to open women and kids wings with 175 beds right across the hospital is very much appreciated.

So thank you again Tourism Selangor and Darul Ehsan Medical Centre (DEMC) for the fantabulous opportunity! Never knew an outing to hospital could be so much fun and laughter! Looking forward for next #TSDayOut!

ChurpPewPew battle at Galactic Laser 6 Jun 2013 5:12 PM (11 years ago)

Again, I won a contest from ChurpChurp that makes me 1 of the recruit for #ChurpPewPew laser tag battle at Galactic Laser, Sunway Pyramid. I've never tried paintball or laser tag before, and somehow a bit terrified. Haha! Since I received 2 invitations, I invited 1 of my travel buddy - Zainal, to join in the fun. Coz I know he plays paintball.

All started with registration, ice-breaking and briefing on how to play laser tag. Light refreshments were served too. I step up first on being able to  "ice-break" with 7 Churpers. This entitled me to be part of the 1st team to try the Free Fall session. Ohsem! Oh my, all of us went GILA during the Free Fall session. Shooting maniac!

After that, its time to re-group. I'm in Blue Team aka Rumah Biru. Same team with Rueben Kang (you should know him from the PSY Gentleman parody video with JinnyBoy). What an awesome members we have, all gila-gila one. (Err, never actually met Churpers that is not gila, hehe).

Wallawei, never expected #ChurpPewPew to be this fun! The Blue Team fights hard, but in the end we just managed to secure 2nd place. And Zainal also the #2 Top Shooter. *sigh*. But real proud bringing him along, haha. And I believe at #ChurpPewPew recruits were having a blast!

Oh ya. I also win best #ChurpPewPew moment and walk way with free Photobook upgrade from mini (8" x 6") to a standard size (11" x 8") worth RM100 courtesy of Foto-ZZoom. And everybody received 2 complimentary missions from Galactic Laser!

So thanks again ChurpChurp & Galactic Laser! Willl surely come again to play laser tag with my Geng Jimba Ria!

Astro On The Go Explorer: I Win Samsung Galaxy S4! 22 May 2013 11:30 PM (11 years ago)

Saya menang Samsung Galaxy S4 hanya dengan berlari-lari anak di dalam Sunway Pyramid untuk Astro On-The-Go Explorer event with Joel. Yeah, right. Me and Joel were paired up as #Team17 for this fantastic Astro challenge last Saturday.

How I got to be part of Astro On-The-Go Explorer? Sebab I submit a last minute entry to be part of the participating bloggers: I am the Unstoppable Explorer: The Backpacker.

Ok. Let's cut to the chase. Here are some the best moments I had during the Astro On-The-Go Explorer event with Joel:

1. "Free" iPad was given to both me and Joel. Though a bit confused about who is the pilot and co pilot. Haha! Unlike usual contest, we were loaned with iPads and modem for the race.

2. Paired up with Joel. I was already delighted when i saw his blog title: http://www.leonhart90.blogspot.com/. It means he's wayyyyy younger than me and hopefully knows Sunway Pyramid better than me. And what a wonderful news-he studies nearby, selalu lepak and already did his study about Sunway Pyramid. Double yayyyy!

3. Huffing and puffing a bit throughout the contest, but still manage to get the following awesome pics as part of the race:

We are not actually running, but Joel is tall with long legs. So his two steps, shorty-me need to take 3 steps. Kecian ai.

4. Free Delicious buffet from Delicious! Delicious food, delicious waiter. Erk?? Ye ke?

5. Ogling and feasting my eyes with Astro stars: Aaron Aziz, Johan, JinnyBoy and many more. rugi korang tak join.

6. Mingling with top and popular bloggers: Redmummy, Abang Nara, EyriqazzRawlins Penaberkala, MiraCikcit, Mahamahu and others. eventhough they dont know me. hehe.

7. The BEST part ever : MENANG Samsung Galaxy 4 of course! Although we were confused when we finished it in just 44 mins. And due to some misunderstandings, we do the race twice!!  But worthwhile, so we complain no more  =b

8. Kena puji dengan Joel at his blog entry post-event: Astro On the Go Explorer- Joel's Experience.
I'm really blessed to pair up with him. The race was easy breezy coz somehow we complement each other while trying to solve all the puzzles. I was at 1st worried I wont be much of a help since I rarely watch Astro lately.

How do i foresee myself utilizing Astro On-The-Go in the future? VERY MUCH! The main reason is because I already lose my chance to win additional RM800 from Astro by not being a subscriber. *double sigh*

Another reason, like what was mentioned at I am the Unstoppable Explorer: The Backpacker,I'm a frequent traveller. Not just oversea, but I'm not even really at my house in Malaysia. So for Atika On-The-Go, I really need:
P/S to NUFFNANG: Don't disqualify me to win the Astro On-The-Go Explorer Best Buzz Bloggers because I won the S4 tauuuuu.. I want to win more!

Some of the pictures above, thanks to Amir Nawami, Nisa Kay, Nuffnang, Rawlins ...

Movie Review: Pee Mak Thai Comedy Horror 21 May 2013 9:58 PM (11 years ago)

Thanks to ChurpChurp for the #Churpremiere invitation of Pee Mak yesterday! OMG! OMG! This movie is definitely top of the must-watched movie for all movie-goers.

As usual, I watched the movie with Mr. Fareed Adaboy, my faithful movie partner. Part of me wish I got the Fast & Furious 6 tickets, but I really love the fact Pee Mak premiere screening is at Midvalley. Especially when I know Sharizan & Irzad are also joining with their friends.

While waiting for the movie, Fareed & I watched the Pee Mak trailer shown nearby the counter. Alamak! I was already laughing just by watching the trailer!

And yesssssss. When we watched the movie, we are not disappointed. Seriously full of laughters from start until the end.  No wonder Pee Mak is the highest grossing horror movie in Thailand, even though this is a comedy horror. Synopsis of Pee Mak: If you know about Nang Nak, this movie is based on it. The most funny character are Shin and Puak - both with a very unique hairstyle.

Make sure you watch the movie until the credit ends. The ending was brilliantly executed and funny as hell. Pee Mak will be in cinemas from 6 June. Lucky I watched it 2 weeks earlier!

Much to our delight, GSC hired a "Nak ghost" outside. Of course everybody swarmed to take picture with her. hehehe.

My verdict: 5 out of 5!!!!
Mood: Happy giler before, during and after the movie.

K-POP Dream Concert vs Stinger Ride 20 May 2013 6:01 PM (11 years ago)

Korean Pop Stars seem to make Malaysia as their second home eh? hehehe. Feels like every month, we can enjoy their concerts, without burning your wallet to fly to South Korea.

This time around, the Korean wave is hitting Resort World Genting in 23-24 May. The K-POP Dream Concert Live in Malaysia 2013 will feature SISTAR, Brown Eyed Girls (B.E.G.), 4Minute, Born to Beat (BtoB) and GNa. Super gorgeous, yummilicious and superb K-pop songs in 1 stage!

If you asked me who I want to personally meet from the superb list, I would say Born to Beat (BtoB) of course! No offense girls, but I will not look good posing with all you beautiful ladies.. Haha. Being in the centre of yummy boys, will boost my confidence level better. Plus, it will make a good cover picture on my Facebook - making my boyfriends girlfriends green with envy.

Want to win a trip to South Korea? Purchase your ticket now! U might win the following:
  • Trip to Korea for 1 Pax ( Flight ticket + accommodation + meal + tour for 3 days 2 nights)
  • Genting Grand Premier Room: 2 nights stay + breakfast for 1 pax.
More info refer to: K-Pop Dream Concert in Genting

Btw, do you know that Genting Theme Park has introduced the all-new ride call the Stinger. It is dubbed as Malaysia's FIRST & TALLEST Hydromagnetic Coaster, and will challenge you to take the plunge at 6,118 feet above sea level!!

Located at the Genting Outdoor Theme Park, this ride seems like a roller coaster + water ride. Really have no idea how it looks like yet, but maybe using some sort of magnetic pull and then making you wet when it plunges into the water.

OMG!! Will you just see at this Stinger Rider's Guide? I'm wondering whether they will put on a weighing scale before we can go into the ride. LOL! Me alone can kawtim already the minimum weight. Haishhh.. But doesn't matter which arrangement, the probability of me sitting in front is very high since I'm the heaviest usually.

Man, the Stinger ride will really motivate me to lose weight! For more info on the Stringer ride (so far), refer to: Stinger Ride in Genting Theme Park!

I Am The Unstoppable Explorer:The Backpacker 13 May 2013 10:56 PM (11 years ago)

I am a backpacker, or a flashpacker at some points. That's why I called myself an unstoppable explorer. I don't let any reasons to stop me from travelling few times a year. With limited budget, with only 12 days annual leave (OMG!), with no prior travel experience -  I will make sure it will not disrupt my travel plan!

The most recent challenges I faces was during my 1st backpacker solo trip to Seoul, Korea from 25 April - 1 May. It was my 1st time ever travelling solo, and it was also the 1st time I'm travelling further than Southeast Asia.

Of course I was kinda scared. Not only it was my 1st solo trip, I was also not well-prepared and money was scarce at that time. The only preparation was just printing out few pages on some guides on where to go, where to stay and where to eat. But Alhamdulillah, I manage to handle all the obstacles by making new friends, using my common sense and with a lot of help from the maps! Some of my plans change due to unexpeced encounters with few Malaysian and new Korean friends - but I was flexible and just go through with it.

As a frequent traveler, the most esential gadget is my Android mobile phone. It serves as my phone, my medium to connect to the Internet as well as my faithful camera.

That's also why Astro-On-The-Go is very helpful! Yeah, you can get cable movies from the hotel but most of the time, it is not in English or with a subtitle that I understand. hehe. I'm not exactly a couch potato, but Astro-On-The-Go allows me to explore and watch my favourite programmes and the best of Astro anytime, anywhere.

Resort World Genting's YNOT Graffiti Competition 4 Apr 2013 2:23 PM (12 years ago)

Genting = FUN. Dont you think? I believe most of us will equate the same as I did. That's why Resort World Genting is hosting the YNOT Graffiti Competition this year.

To encourage youngsters and those young-at-heart to express themselves by allowing them to paint Genting's Outdoor Theme Park. Isn't that awesome?!

Graffiti = Conteng = Vandalism. This is what some people thought of. But Resort World Genting believes that creativity as an element to develop today's youth. YNOT allows them to express their interest in a positive yet fun way.

My Ticket to Nuffnang 6th Birthday Bash 24 Feb 2013 6:11 AM (12 years ago)

Nuffnang turns 6! Sudah masuk tadika. So sudah pandai dengar muzik. That's why, I created this playlist just for you Nuffnang and other Nuffnangers!
I promise the songs will rock the party when you play it at Lust. Errr, but you have to choose me as a winner la right? *hint hint*

Here is my playlist at Deezer.com, shared at both Facebook and Twitter:
Atika's Playlist on Facebook
Atika's Playlist on Twitter.

Why I chose the songs?

Songs #1: Now You're Gone by Basshunter feat. DJ Mental.
This is interesting. I heard this song while I went shopping at Carrefour. I'm so hooked at this song, and I went to find it. Luckily the home teater showed the title of this song! I jot down the title and searched it at YouTube.

Song #2: 50 Ways to Say Goodbye by Train.
Hahaha! At 1st I found the music sound familiar, just like the Phantom of the Opera song. When I look at the music video, I was laughing. This is my fav song during my karaoke session.

Song #3: Scream & Shout.
Nothing much to say.. Music is good, but I'm choosing it because "..and Britney, bitch".

Song #4. Bara Bara Bara Bere Bere Bere
Heard it on radio. Felt like dancing. just trying my luck googling the only word I understand, which turns out to be the song title..ahaks.

Song #5. It's My Life -by Bon Jovi
I found this song motivating. And the start of this song- killer!

Movie Review: The Last Stand 17 Jan 2013 1:49 AM (12 years ago)

Seriously a must-watch movie. You should watch The Last Stand. Nuff said.

As usual, this is another free movie premiere screening invitation I won through ChurpChurp pulak. Went to watch #Churpremiere with Fareed Adaboyas usual at TGV One Utama yesterday. The day before, was at the same place watching #NNPremiereScreening of Mama courtesy of Nuffnang.

Synopsis of The Last Stand: a notorious yet handsome convict in a high-speed chase by the police, the FBI. Heading towards Mexico. All effort to stop him was futile due to his damn good skill driving the Corvette ZR1. Plus his superb team that knows how to break the flimsy police barricade (duhhh). The last town he need to pass thru before Mexico, is Summerton Junction-location of Sheriff Ray (Arnold Schwarznegger).

Ok la. This movie is  not that great compared to other blockbuster movie. But I find it very enjoyable. The high speed chase was nice, though I think the FBI are way too dumb.  But the jahat-ness and creativeness of the criminals- really best!

The best part? The part I personally love the most, was at Mrs. Salazar’s house!! Haha.. everybody in the cinema was laughing non-stop, we couldn’t help ourselves!! Then after that a serious moment, Dinkum was shot. But right after that, we were laughing again coz of his clanging helmet..Oh my. The best 5mins of the movie I must say.

My verdict? Recommended! I seriously enjoy the movie. I give 5 out 5 stars for The Last Stand.
I really salute the director and the actors for being able to blend action, serious and hilariously funny altogether in the movie.

Next week, going to watch #NNPremiereScreening of Hansel & Gretel pulak. jangan jeles!

Movie Review: Mama 17 Jan 2013 1:48 AM (12 years ago)

I’m scared of ghost and horror movies/stories. I never watch horror movies at the cinema.
But I’ve watched it 2 times because I win #NNPremiereScreening from Nuffnang. Huhu. I decided to just challenge myself, since it was free. My 1st time: Sinister.

Sharizan with his 1st ever invitation
My 2nd time: Mama. Aside from being a free premiere screening, I personally want to watch it coz I love Guillermo Del Toro’s work. My movie review of Mama: Beautifully scary. The sound effect, the ghost, the storyline-I love it! Eventhough I sometimes watched it behind my cardigan or closing my eyes, haha.

Just like Pan’s Labyrinth, it feels kinda like a twisted fairytale. The kids in Mama are awesomely scaring me with their act. The ending-not really a happy one. I didn’t find it surprising since Del Toro seems to prefer that type of ending.

My verdict: 4 out of 5.

Oh ya, I watched this ghost movie, with a “hantu” namely Fareed Adaboy.

AirAsia Free Seats 0 BIG Points Promo 13 Jan 2013 11:25 PM (12 years ago)

Hunting for AirAsia Free Seats promo? Or even better (?), redeem 0 BIG Points to fly.

0 BIG Point
has started at midnight, to much disappointment. Not about the promo, but the server and payment channel. Most users cant even get throught the website!

Hummph, I seriously hope BIG Card can fix the issue. Coz even the convenience fee that must be paid if buying thru Tune2Big is still not resolved- which I find silly.

AirAsia FREE SEATS promo will start later at midnight. For more info, should read the following:

Movie Review: Jack Reacher 18 Dec 2012 9:17 PM (12 years ago)

Another premiere Screening. This time thanks to both Nuffnang and ChurpChurp. I won 2 contest. So end up winning 4 free tickets
to watch #NNPremiereScreening and #Churpremiere of Jack Reacher. hehehehe. Watch it last night dgn Fareed, Hanif and Hilmi at Tropicana City Mall. So here is my movie review of Jack Reacher yaa..

In case you didnt know, this movie is based from a novel by Lee Child, One Shot. I never read the novels, but watching this movie make me want to buy 1! An ex-army investigator trying to solve a case involving a trained military sniper who shot five random victims.

As a mystery thriller novel lover, I enjoyed the 1st half of the movie. I felt like reading a book coz the dialogue is playing with words. You need to catch up, need to understand the mystery quickly. I'm happy to catch up with Jack Reacher's thoughts and his wise jokes.

Having said so, if your English is not that good, or you hate books, you will find the 1st half hour such a bore. Like Mr. Fareed who slept "occasionally". haha. He found it a bit berbelit-belit and talk too much.

Then when the investigation getting deeper, with more action, then only the beat picked up. Lots of shooting, action. Best!

My verdict: 4 star. This is the kind of movie yang I hope for James Patterson's novels. Sadly, all his novel adaptation failed. Sebab tu I refuse to watch Alex Cross latest movie  =(

Fareed's verdict: kepala berbintang2. haha.
And Tom Cruise still ensem.
