Origami paper star ornament 30 Oct 2010 5:18 AM (14 years ago)

Need to get a head-start on your Christmas ornaments this year? Give this origami paper star ornament a try, thanks to Tracy's Trinkets and Treasures.

I usually participate in our church's handmade ornament parties each year, so I've been brainstorming. Last year, I made these Christmas tree ornaments.  Do you guys attend/host a handmade Christmas ornament party? It's a great way to collect ornaments too.

Tissue paper flower garland DIY 26 Oct 2010 5:01 AM (14 years ago)

Check out this lovely tissue paper flower garland from Ruffled. This makes such a beautiful wedding centerpiece, or even something for the Spring/Summer weather (in some parts of the world). You'll learn how to make paper roses, paper lilies, paper daisies and paper dahlias.

Anyway, what are you doing for Halloween? I've been trying to find a fun costume party to attend, I may dress up as a fairy... got the idea from Inside Out Elle. Which means I will be shopping at the craft stores this week! :] Be safe!

Origami Business Card Holder - tutorial 2 Oct 2010 6:07 AM (14 years ago)

Here's a fun way to store those business cards. You will need an 8x8in square sheet of paper and a couple of business cards. In this tutorial, I used a larger sheet for demonstration. Have fun!

1. Begin with the white side of the paper facing you. Fold the paper until you get 16 squares. Fold the sides toward the middle, and then fold the sides toward the crease you just made. Repeat on all four sides of the square.

2. Fold the four corners in towards the crease.

3. Fold the left and right sides to the middle crease, and flip the diagram to the back.

4. Fold top and bottom sides to the middle crease.

5. You can now store your business cards on the inside of the diamond, and you can also fold it in the middle and use the other side to store more business cards!
