Everyone in the field of Internet Marketing aware of the term "Link Building". Link Building is a SEO ACE for the better page rank, keyword ranking, and traffic. For some persons it is a time consuming confusing bit irritating process but certainly unavoidable. Link building is a major part for any SEO project to get success.
There are hundred's of method available to get links. To get link is not a tough job but to get Quality Link is not an easy task. Lets discuss an example to make it more clear, Suppose your website is dedicated to "Investments" and you linking it with "Pharmaceutical". It may not help as you can think the kind of audiences visit investment website would not be interested in pharmaceutical and vice versa.
Next motive is to check the page rank of the website home page and also the page where you link is to be added. I generally believe getting five no page rank link is equals to one PR quality link. We always forget to check the cached of the page where link is going to be placed, we need to check the cached whether the website or the page is cached or not, last date of the cached when search engine crawled the web page, also compare the text of the cached page with the presently visible text on the web page.
Next step is to check the number of links available on the page. This step is important in case of link exchange. Always count links that are available on the page where your link is added and also check the PR of that page. If the website has more then 40 to 50 links don't exchange link with that website as you will not get more profit.
Next step is to check the status of the website in the search engines, website should not be banned and should not be a spam website.
In order to get quality links consider all above steps. It is not difficult at all, you just set your goal to get quality links and you will see that your website will be on the tops of the results of all search engines.

Navbar is a navigation bar that blogger displays on the top of every blogger blog. This Navigation bar helps to search blogs, visit next blog, sign in and create new account. Also you can report abuse for objectionable content. I personally think that navbar gives bad look to any blog. Blogger don’t give any option to remove it, still we can remove or hide it manually.
Most of the bloggers doesn’t like to use the same old blogspot templates. Everyone wants to give it a nice look according to their own choice, preferences, theme etc. Navigation Bar doesn’t go with the look we usually want for our blogs or websites.
So the good news is we can remove or hide the navigation bar with simple steps.

Google Analytics is a great reporting system that will provide full insight on how user searches for your site and also how much time they spent on your website, page views of your site and many more.
One of my friend asked me how-to Set-up Google Analytics for a blog or a website, I find it difficult to make my friend understand the process via chat or on Phone. So it just clicked to write blog on it :)
Step 1: Get a Google account.
Hopefully you having a Gmail Account, you can access Analytics with your Gmail login details. However, you can always create new Gmail Account to access analytics for separate website other than your personal Gmail Account. Like, I don’t prefer using my personal Gmail Account for SEO – PPC- SEM.
Step 2: Get a Google Analytics account.
Visit https://www.google.com/analytics/, click on Access Analytics (Highlighted below) and login using your Google account.
Once you've logged in you'll be prompted to sign up for Google Analytics. Click the Sign Up button as highlighted below.
To start with the new account signup process you'll be asked to enter your Web site's or Blog URL i.e. domain name, account name (fetch from website URL automatically) but you can always override as per your preference, your site's country and time zone. Click the Continue button.
On the next page you’ll be asked to enter your last name, first name and country or territory (if different than your Web site.) Click the Continue button.
On the next page you'll need to accept the user agreement. Carefully read all Google terms and conditions mentioned which you'll probably never read: D. Click the check box to agree with all Google terms and conditions click the Create New Account button.
Yippee! You've arrived at the tracking code.

For a Website: the bottom of every Web page you want to track just before the tag. You'll either want to add it yourself or share it with your Web developer.
For a Blog: the Edit HTML before tag. Go to Edit Html, click Expand HTML template and paste the given code. It automatically tracks the traffic of all your blog post.
Google Analytics offers you to track traffic for Single Domain, One domain with multiple domains and multiple top-level domains. Choose according to your preference. You can also track adwords campaigns :)
If you have multiple domains to track then you need to generate unique tracking codes for each site. Each domain will need its own "profile." You can create additional Web site profiles by clicking Add New Profile on your Google Analytics page.
Once you done with the tracking code installation to your website or blog, after 24 hours you should start seeing the traffic and conversions.

Following are the tools which we use for the keywords selection, creation of Ads, Ad groups and campaign etc.
Keyword tool:- Now this is a famous tool everyone related to Digital Marketing Field knows about. Using Google Adwords Keyword Selection tool you can make a list of keywords for your Ad groups as per the search volume, advertiser competition, estimated first page bid, estimated average CPC etc. You can choose master keywords with the help of keyword tool.
Search based keyword tool:- As the name suggest, using this tool you can get keyword ideas based on actual Google Search engine queries. Keywords that matches to specific pages of your site. You will get new keywords which you are not already using in your account.
New Placement Tool:- This tool is New, not very new though :). Well using Placement tool you can find out new placements. As we have already discussed about Placement Ads. Best part you can choose placement as per categories and placement types like site, video, feed, game, mobile etc.
Edit Campaign Negative Keywords:- Negative Keywords very important aspect in PPC. As we pay for each click, we don’t want invalid clicks. To reduce wasted or invalid clicks, this tool is really helpful. Let me define with the help of an example since I haven’t mention about Negative keywords in my blog, Suppose you are selling New Mobile Phones, in this case OLD is a negative keyword. Whenever someone searches for old mobile phones our ad will not appear. IMPORTANT point to keep in mind while using Negative Keywords, here negative keyword is OLD not OLD mobile phones.
Site and Category Exclusion:- You can use this tool to prevent your Ads from individual websites and categories in the Google Network. This can be only applying to the selected campaign.
IP Exclusion:- IP is Internet Protocol. Now with the help of this tool you can prevent your Ads from specific Internet Protocol. In what circumstances you would want to take help from this tool…. Think n let me also know!! Umm if you don’t want to show your ads to competitor, it can be the reason.
Traffic Estimator:- Through this tool you get fast traffic estimates even for the keywords you are not using for your Adwords Campaign. You can check estimate traffic for those keyword without adding them to your account. You can check by entering one keyword per line, choose currency, daily budget, targeting location(country, region, cities),language.
Insights for Search:- Another tool which can be used while is making a master list of keyword to create Ad groups. With the help of Insights we can compare search volume patters across regions, categories and timeframes. Just enter keyword and select specific region, categories and timeframe

Web Robots are also known as Bot, Crawlers and Spiders. Search engines such as Google, Yahoo Msn use them to index the web content; spammers use them to scan for email addresses, and many other uses.
Robots index the content of the web pages of your website and Robot.txt file set instructions for Robots. Spiders that obey the file, it provides a map for what they can, and cannot index. The file must be available in the root directory of your website. The web addresses i.e. URL path of your robots.txt file should be named as /robots.txt.
How to create robots.txt file?
User-agent: *
The asterisk (*) or wildcard represents a special value and means any robot. The asterisk (*) or wildcard in the User-agent field means "any Robot" and therefore is the only one needed until you fully understand how to set up different User-agents.
Disallow:
The Disallow: line without a / (forward slash) indicates the robots(crawlers) that they can index the all the WebPages of a website.
Any empty value indicates that all URLs can be fetched. At least one Disallow field should be there in a record without the / (forward slash) as shown above.
Disallow: /private/
It tells the robot that it cannot index the contents of that /private/ directory.

Keep in mind that using the above example excludes that specified page (nothing-to-display.htm) but will not exclude the entire /private/ directory.
The presence of an empty "/robots.txt" file has of no usage, it will be treated as if it was not present, i.e. all robots will consider invited automatically.
You should validate your robots.txt file. Enter the full URI to the robots.txt file on your server. The robots.txt file always resides at the root level of your web.

Anyways i m here to define basic SEM/PPC Terms which are very commonly asked in interviews. U must have heard of following terms:-
Impression:- Number of times Ads appear whenever user enters search query related to your Theme either in search network, content network and placements.
Clicks:- Number of times user clicks to Ad Copies showing in search results.
CTR:- Stands for Click Through Rate. CTR is clicks against impression. CTR is a tool to measure the success of an Ad words Advertising Campaign.
CTR can be calculated as : Clicks/Impressions * 100
CPC:- Stands for Cost Per Click. CPC is a cost that we pay to Google for each click.
Max CPC:- Maximum Bid which advertiser ready to pay for one click.
Cost:- Cost of clicks. Total amount that advertiser pay to Google.
Lead:- Lead generates when Ad copy appear in search and clicked by visitor.
ROI:- Stands for Return on Investment. Investment minus Return.
CPL:- Stands for Cost per Lead. Total cost/number of leads.
Example:- Impressions – 1000, click - 20, CTR= click/impression *100 i.e. 2%
CPC – 10, Cost – Click * CPC i.e. 200, Lead - 5
so CPL is cost/leads i.e. 200/5 – 40.
CPM:- Stands for cost per 1000 impressions. For some campaigns you can choose to pay Google as per 1000 impressions for your Ad rather then clicks. Max. CPM is amount you are willing to pay per thousand impressions or Ad views. CPM bid is available only for content network not for Search network and search partner sites.
Quality Score:- Higher the Quality Score of your Ads lower the CPC. Factors effect Quality Score are Keyword Quality, keyword and Ad copy Relation, Landing page, A/c, Campaign, Ad structure and Ad Keywords.
First Page Bid Estimates:- On Google Keyword Analysis Page you can see Bid Estimates. The CPC required for Ad to appear on the first page of Google search results when a search query exactly matches your keyword.
Like i told in previous post of this blog that Google shows 11 Ads at a time. Most Important Factor to get good position on Google Adwords Program is "Quality Score" of your Ad. Google Rate Ad Copy out of 10. More your Quality score better the chances to get good position.
Google believes in user Experience. Google rate the quality of your Ad on the basis of following.
- Website should be Working as in URL should be working. When User click to your website and it will show that website is not working.
- Back Button should be there. Some people block back button so that user won't be able to go out of your site to see more Ad options available.
- Content should be present in the website. Content can be in the form of text, image, video, music etc.
- Site link must not be broken and under construction.
- Website should be user friendly, it should not require any other program other then browser to view the landing page or any other unacceptable format such as PDF, Word etc.
- There should not be Email ID in Display URL.
I might forget to mention few points, if you know please let me know.

Google Network:-
Google Network apportioned in two parts:-
Google Search Network:- In this Ads appear on the Google search page whenever user enters search query related to your Ad theme. You can also share Ads with Google Partners such as Froogle and Earthlink. It is also called as Search Targeting.
Google Content Network:- In this Ads appear on the other websites such as Blogs, Gmail, topic-specific websites, news etc. if the content and URL are related to your Ad.
The best part is your can choose any of Google Network to run your website and also you can run Same Ad on both network simultaneously. You don't need to go to customer to sell your product and services. Customer will come to you after clicking to your Ad. :) It is also called Contextual Targeting.

Heading: 25 characters including spaces. It is also called Title. Heading should attracts customer. It is always better to use Keyword in your heading or any special services or products, if any.
Desciption1:35 characters including spaces. Description should be catchy enough to encourage user to click to your ads and visit your website. It should be clear and appropriate.
Description2:35 characters including spaces. Description2 is the continuation of description1. So the total characters limit for description is 70 with spaces.
Display URL:35 characters including spaces. It indicates user which website they will visit after clicking your Ad.
Destination URL:1024 characters no spaces and special characters. This URL is invisible. This URL actual page where user visit after clicking an Ad. It is also called landing page.
While making refer Google Adwords Editorial policies. Let me mention few i remember:-
Grammatical and Spelling Error: Always use logical phrases with correct speliings and no grammatical mistake. If you wants to use misspelled words that majority of audiences can understand, that word should be there in online dictionary.
Spaces: Always Use proper spacing after each word and punctuation.
Capitalization: Capitalization is not allowed to highlight word or phrase to direct attract user. For example: SALE, FREE, NEW, NOW. First letter capital is allowed though of each word.
Punctuation and Symbols: Punctuation should not be unnecessarily used or repeated two or more times. Ad title can not contain exclamation mark though your Ad description can contain one exclamation mark. You can not use replacing words like “4” in place of “for”, “U” in space of “You” etc.
Repetitive words: Repetition not allowed to promote like “best deal, best deal, best deal”.
Offensive Language: Inappropriate and offensive language strictly not allowed.

In continuation of my last post, today I will write more about Setting PPC campaigns, benefits, and where Google showcases our Ads...
First of all, PPC is a great tool to drive traffic to your website quickly. Initially, you need to know the right method to do this. SEM/PPC is also known as ‘Paid Search.’ PPC does not work without money. Therefore, you need to invest some amount of money to drive traffic to your website. The reason PPC is very effective is because it can show results in less than 15 minutes.
No one can tell you the correct way to Run PPC Campaign, but there are guidelines which you need to follow to have success in the online paid advertising industry. The most important point is that SEM (PPC) and SEO both are completely different. Whenever a user comes and enters a search query, Google displays results as follows:
The results highlighted in the above image represent PPC Ads, whereas the red arrowed highlighted results are the organic search results which represent SEO. When the user clicks the highlighted links, Google redirects the user to a website. As a result, the website owner must pay a certain amount to Google for each click. For this reason, these results appear under “Sponsored links”. Google displays a maximum of 11 ads per page, 3 Ads above organic search, and 8 on the right side of SERP (search engine result page). as shown above. However, when a user clicks on any of the organic search links, Google redirects the user to a website, but the owner of the website does not need to pay anything to Google. Therefore, SEO can work without an investment but PPC requires money.
