Taylored Expressions 10th Birthday Mega Party!! 5 Sep 2018 7:00 AM (6 years ago)

I am so excited to be participating in this blog hop today!  I was a member of the TE team for quite a while, so it's crazy to think this all started 10 years ago!!!  There are over 40 designers participating in this hop today!!  How exciting is that!!??  You can find the whole list on Taylor's Blog!  Last night, new products were released and you can find those products HERE. 

I have used an older set to create my card in celebration of TE's Birthday!!  My card uses the Tropical Trio Stamp & Die Combo!  I've also used some fun papers from TE including the Hello Sunshine Paper Pack and Blue Raspberry and Pineapple cardstocks!!  The clouds in the background were created using some Confetti Cake ink and the Set the Scene Clouds Stencil Strips.

Today we're sharing our first projects featuring the Sentimental Wishes stamp set. If you've come from visiting Julee, you're in the right place!!  I just LOVE this new set and die set from Verve!!  I LOVE the images, the sentiments and the coordinating dies make it a definite must have!!  I used some Fall papers from my stash to create this card, as well as the latest VLV Sketch!  I stamped the leaf outlines first, then used the "filler" stamp second for perfect alignment. I love the two-step stamping capabilities of this set!!  The sentiment was stamped and embossed in white on black cardstock.  As a finishing touch, I added some gold cording.  Next on today's hop is Maureen!!  Thanks for stopping by!!

Today we're sharing our first projects featuring the Cake and Candles stamp set, another fusion of old and new. This birthday themed compilation includes some brand new birthday sentiments with a classy modern font pairing, as well as a few re-introductions of previous sentiments and plain janes.

Today we're sharing our first projects featuring the Bloom Brighter stamp set and coordinating, Blooming Die Set. A fresh take on the flower from the retired commemorative set Beautiful You, this beautiful encouragement set is perfect for a vareity of cardmaking occasions.

If you came from visiting Betty, you're in the right place!!  I decided to create a little background piece using the small flower and leafy image from the set for my card.  The focal flower was stamped in coordinating ink onto pink, green and purple cardstocks and die cut using the Blooming Die Set. Welcome to our 10th Anni-VERVE-sary Spotlight Hops! Verve is celebrating 10 years of bringing stamps to the world with a release of new and classic Verve! For the next few days we'll be shining our creative spotlights on the new Verve sets and dies that will be releasing Monday, August 28. We hope you'll join us as the design team, special Guest Diva Kelly Lunceford, and some fabulous rockstar alumni Divas share their inspirations with the new goodies this week.

Today's feature is on the Little Ones stamp set and coordinating Little Ones Die Set. A fusion of old and new, this baby themed set brings back some of Verve's most popular plain janes, mixed with a few new designs to tie it all together.

If you've come from visiting Betty, you're in the right place!!  For today's card I decided to go with a fun color combo and use that adorable little chick from the Little Ones set.  I used the VLV Sketch for the month of August as well.  The papers are from my scrap bin and they're all about love!  :)  The chick was colored with Copic markers and die cut using the Little Ones Die Set.  The heart was stamped and die cut as well.  As a finishing touch, I added some Shine Bright Sequins to the card for some sparkle.  Thank you for stopping by!  Next on today's hop is Marisa!!

Today we're sharing our first projects featuring the Fill My Cup stamp set. This set also coordinates with the Happiness in a Cup Die Set we shared yesterday.  If you've come from visiting Wanda, you're in the right place!!  I think this set is pretty sweet!  I LOVE that it coordinates with the Happiness in a Cup Die Set set as well!!  I only used the stamp set for this card though.  I thought this sentiment was perfect for clean, simple and happy card complete with sunshine, clouds and a summer feel.  I used papers from the Sunny Days Ahead Collection from Echo Park.  The cloud and sun was stamped, colored, cut out and then mounted to the card with foam tape.  Next on today's hop is Marisa!!  Thanks for stopping by!!

Today we're sharing our first projects featuring the Happiness Is stamp set and coordinating Happiness in a Cup Die Set.  If you've come from visiting Wanda, you're in the right place!!  I decided to go clean and simple with this set.  I just LOVE the die cut "happiness".  It just makes me happy and I wanted it to stand out on the card.  As far as the "teensy bit of silence". . .anyone with multiple kids would understand!  ;)  When I stamped the sentiment, I inked it up with a medium blue ink and then just inked up the bottom parts of the sentiment with a deeper blue to get the ombre look.  I LOVE how the mug looks distressed. . . and that's all part of the stamp!  How cool is that?!  Thanks for stopping by today!  Next on today's hop is Marisa!!

If you're coming from visiting Julee, you're in the right place!  I have two card today using the NEW Butterfly Grace set along with the coordinating Graceful Butterflies die set.  I just think this set is beautiful!  I love the different butterflies, the beautiful sentiments. . .and the coordinating dies make it even better!

I stamped and die cut each butterfly.  The sentiment was stamped and embossed.  The papers are from the Sugar Chic Collection by Heidi Swapp.  I also used this week's Mojo Monday Sketch for my first card!

My second card is more on the simple side.  The papers are from the We Are Family Collection from Echo Park.  I used the tiny butterfly die from the die set for this card as well.  They are just SO sweet! Hi there!  Today Taylored Expressions is partnering up with Word Art Wednesday for their weekly challenge!!  Taylored Expressions is sponsoring a $25 Gift Certificate to the TE Store, so we hope you'll play along!!

When I think of word art, I think of clean and simple so that the word art is the focus.  I used the Dreams Take Flight stamp from Taylored Expressions for my card.  In order to make it stand out, I stamped and embossed it in white and then stamped it again to create a mask for the butterfly and flowers.  Once I applied the mask to the images, I sponged some Cookie Monster ink onto the cardstock.   Because the image was heat embossed, the white embossing resists the ink so that the sentiment shows up beautifully.

After removing the masks, I used markers to color in the images.  As a finishing touch, I added some Snow Flurries Sequins for some sparkle.  I hope you'll play along with the challenge!!  Thanks for stopping by today and have a wonderful day!!

Welcome back to Day 3 of Verve's November Release Spotlight Hops!  It's an exciting day as there's new Verve in the store this morning! Two beautiful new sets and coordianating die sets just released and they're all available in the shop right now. To celebrate our new release, we're putting on another blog hop with a fabulous giveaway!

Today's featured focus is designer's choice, so you might just sneak a peek at a whole bunch of must-haves!  If you've arrived from visiting Laurie, you're in the right place!!  For my card, I used the Beyond Measure set along with the Christmas Spirit Die Set.  I started with the latest Viva la Verve Sketch for some inspiration.  The papers are from the Nordic Pines Collection from Bazzill.  I stamped the sentiment and the berry and twigs elements and created a little focal point with them.  As a finishing touch, I added some Gold Package Sequins for some sparkle.  Thanks for stopping by all week!  I hope you've been inspired!  Next on today's hop is Betty!!

Welcome back to Day 2 of Verve's November Release Spotlight Hops!  The Verve Divas and special guests are back for another day of spotlighting our new release! Everything previewed this week will be available to order in the Verve online shop on Friday, November 4.

Today we're sharing our first projects featuring the Beyond Measure stamp set and coordinating Christmas Spirit Die Set.  If you've arrived from visiting Laurie, you're in the right place!!  I just LOVE this stamp set and plan to use it for Christmas cards this year.  Since I'd be mass-producing them, I had to keep it pretty simple so that the process wouldn't take too long!  :)  I stamped the three wise men in black and die cut it with a stitched circle die.  I added a little shadow below each wise man with a Copic marker.  The star was stamped and die cut, then adhered with foam tape.  The sentiment was stamped and embossed in gold.  I matted the piece with gold mirror cardstock to bring out the sentiment.  I hope this has inspired you to create your own Christmas cards this year!  Next on today's hop is Betty!!  Thanks for stopping by!

If you've come from visiting Laurie, then you're in the right place!!  I decided to use the tree image along with the snowflakes from the set for my card.  I started by sponging a "sky" onto the card and then stamped the trees twice, colored them with Copics and mounted a couple of them with foam tape.  The snowflakes were stamped and embossed in white. I attached the whole panel to a card base with foam tape.  Simple card and pretty easy to reproduce!  Next on today's hop is Betty!!  Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of the hop!!

Welcome to Verve's October Release Retrospective Blog Hop!  Today the Verve Divas and Guest Divas are back with another dose of inspiration using the brand new release! All of our new products are available to order in the Verve shop and on sale through the end of October! Plus, we've got a sweet hop prize in store!

If you've come from visiting Marisa, you're in the right place!!  For my card, I used the Everything Nice set along with the coordinating Gown Die.  I started with the latest Mojo Monday Sketch and some papers from the Sunny Days Ahead Collection from Echo Park.  The gown was stamped and embossed in white on a polka dot patterned paper and then I die cut a vellum gown to adhere over top to soften the dress.  To finish the card, I added some Shine Bright Sequins and sponged white ink on the edges of the card to give it a soft, dreamy feel.    Next on today's hop is Betty!!

Hi there!  I have a card to share today that uses one of my favorite sets from Taylored Expressions, Critters on Ice.  I just LOVE all of the little critters in the set.  I paired it with papers from the Build a Scene - Christmas 6x6 Patterned Paper Pack.  I thought the sky background with the star worked very well for my little scene. . .and so did the snowflake paper!!

I embossed the snow on the bottom of the card using the Snowfall Embossing Folder.  The little polar bear was stamped, colored and then die cut using the coordinating Critters on Ice Dies.  The focal and sentiment circles were die cut using the Stitched Circle Stacklets.   I finished off the card with some Snow Flurries Sequins.
