Hi
A brief video of today's test flight in preparation for the first public display at Flying Legends 2012
Followers of the Friends TFC Blog please note: We are preparing to update the TFC Website and associated links over the next few days. There may be intermittent availability of the site during this transition.
Pleased to say that PK took P-47 Snafu up for first test flight today Saturday 21 April 2012.
More to follow:
Greg, who often provides us with "out of the office window" pics for the blog reminded me his son is doing a very worthwhile swimathon. You can find the details of how to support him here:

As this is one of our last posts here before we imminently launch our new website and diary this seemed an extremely worthwhile way to finish and wind down the current blog and to help support a good cause.
Friends of TFC today presented the volunteers at TFC with a new access platform to help with cleaning and maintenance around TFC aircraft.
Thanks to everyone today:
We are changing our reports to a diary format in preparation to the change of the TFC website.
This means we will be giving you regular updates , not only of aeroplane items but also to give an idea of some of the other goings on at Hangar 2.
Many thanks to Stuart at TFC: PK undertaking taxi trials in the P-47 this afternoon.
We recently featured a photo of Keith with our Corsair; Here is his story as featured as part of the "Heroes Return" Big Lottery Project:
Coming soon from TFC.
The first and only series that "Puts You Into the Pilot's Seat" of a World War II fighter to experience the thrill of aerial combat. Every sound effect - from the click of a battery switch to the rumble and cough of a 2200 horsepower radial engine starting up - has been recorded digitally. The magic of Dolby Digital surround sound will test the limit of your speaker system as you lift off an aircraft carrier for a mission unmatched in home entertainment.
Please note. The DVD's will not be available in North America

Thanks to Brian who caught Stephen and Patrice taking the Hawk 75 out and about today. Hawk is now tucked away safely in the hangar.
The Bearcat, Spitfire, Spitfire Mk Vb and Hawk 75 all blew a few cobwebs out from their engines today. As ever someone was about with a camera ( Click HERE for pictures )
Rob got his paint brush out this week to add some finishing touches to the Wildcat. See more next week end.
OK, Not a day goes by at TFC at the moment without something happening - yesterday we received Steve's excellent trailer for Flying Legends.
Today I received a call from Neville Williams our guest speaker and ex Sea Fury pilot. If all goes well and this really is one of those fingers crossed moments we will have two ex Sea Fury pilots talking and reminiscing over their memories of the Sea Fury. This is not by any means certain but we are willing it to happen!
We also hope to be able to provide a static photo opportunity in the dusk of a very special TFC aircraft and the plans to have another TFC aircraft run up are looking good - big thanks to hte engineers who are fettling away on this bit of the evening.
Finally, it isn't too late to submit a question for our presenters or even to grab a last minute ticket there are just a few left. You can only book online now and until the weekend for this very special week end. Tickets click HERE
