Cult Nails Toxic Seaweed 6 Aug 2012 11:15 AM (12 years ago)

Hello world!

Finally another post from me. And it´s an awesome one! Cult Nails Toxic Seaweed is soooo cool! I love it!
It´s a green jelly base with green glitter and red flakies. I used 3 thick coats to get some opacity, on some nails 4... And eventhough I don´t really like that, I do get a good wear out of it. While I´m writing this, it´s the 5th day of wear. No chips and only very minimal tipwear. Althoug it could be the topcoat too. I used my INM Out The Door with gold holographic glitter. I hardly ever use it, but it seems to work well on me or just on this polish.

Here are the pictures.

Sun and shade just so you can see how awesome it is.

Thanks for stopping by and enjoy your day!

Girly Bits Star Spangled 16 Jul 2012 10:04 AM (12 years ago)

Hello!!

So today I have another Girly Bits polish. This is one of the Indy brands. I have to say I´m not all that impressed about 99% of all Indy polishes. They aren´t all that unique, they all copy each other. Mostly glitter topcoats with huge glitter in all sorts of shapes, not my thing. And last but not least, most of them are overpriced. I understand that producing just a few makes it more expensive, but still. That said, I do like some of them. Especially the 3 Girly Bits that I have :D. Today I´ve got Star Spangled for you. Very pretty!

Star Spangled is a sheer blue with blue, red and silver glitter. I love it!

For my pictures I used 3 coats. Next time I will use it over a dark blue base coat, just to save the polish.

I apologize for the poor clean up. When I put it on it was already starting to get dark and I wanted to catch the last daylight, so I decided to do the clean up later.

So what do you think? Like it, love it or hate it? I love it!

Thanks for stopping by!!

Ozotic 505 10 Jul 2012 7:00 AM (12 years ago)

Hi ladies!

I remember so well when I first saw Ozotic 505. It was way before Picture Polish had a website that shipped internationally and also way before all the other webshops started selling it. But I wanted it, it was so awesome!! I googled and googled and finally found some nail supply store in Australia that sold them. But... not internationally. I emailed the owner and she was willing to make an exception for me. I was soooo happy! The prices were really good too. I think I bought them for around 10 australian dollars each.

Well, after receiving it back then (I guess about 3 years ago) I only wore it once or twice. So it was definitely time to use it again. And I still love it! Pictures don´t do it justice. None of the pictures I´ve seen on the web, but still I made some for you.

This is 1 coat of Zoya Raven with 2 coats of Ozotic 505.

Look at all these colors! It is teal, green, blue, purple, pink, orange and gold. Although the orange and gold aren´t that visible, only in some angles.

Can you believe I took this pictures on day 4? And I actually had my first chip after a full week!

Have a wonderful day!

Layla Coffee Love 1 Jul 2012 7:00 AM (12 years ago)

Hello!

Today is my birthday! And since we actually have been having quite a lot of sun lately, what would be more appropriate than a nice holo? Of course I chose one of my new Layla polishes. Coffee Love is great!!! It´s a nice brown holo. I think I haven´t seen anything like it before, gorgeous!

Pictures!

Isn´t it just beautiful? I can just say Wow!!

Have a wonderful day!

Layla Ceramic Effect 53 29 Jun 2012 7:30 AM (12 years ago)

Hi ladies

Todays polish unfortunately has no name. Why name the holos, but not the other polishes? I don´t get it. Anyway, it´s a red flakie polish from Layla. The base is a red jelly and the flakes are also mostly red. They do shift to green, yellow and orange in some angles. I used 1 coat of Misa Date Night To The Twilight and 1 coat of Layla Ceramic Effect 53. Application was good on both.

Here´s the result.

Love the combination! They match well together. Although I am curious what it would look like over a nice deep red or something.

Thanks for watching! Enjoy your day!

Layla Misty Blush 20 Jun 2012 12:56 PM (12 years ago)

Hello ladies!

I wanted to order Layla polishes for a while now. Of course I waited until the new holo shades would be available. Last friday night I placed my order at the italian site and on monday morning it arrived. That´s really fast!! So happy!

Since I know you guys are dying to see some swatches, I did a quick one of Misty Blush. I don´t really know how to describe this color, it´s purple with some brown tones I guess.
Application was fine once I applied Gosh Aqua Base as my basecoat. I used to coats for full coverage.

And now just drool :-P

Hope to get some more Layla swatches up soon. They are awesome!

Thanks for stopping by!

Hits Phenoma Afterglow 12 Jun 2012 10:00 AM (12 years ago)

Hi ladies!

Don´t have a lot of time, so just pics and a short message. But of course leave a message if you have a question, I´ll get back to that as soon as possible.

This is one coat of Nubar Noir and 2 coats of Hits Phenoma Afterglow.

Looks like one of the Ozotic Elytras, will have to do a comparison someday.

Enjoy your day!!

Girly Bits Shift Happens 9 Jun 2012 10:00 AM (12 years ago)

Hi there!

Today I have my new favorite polish for you. This is so awesome! I can´t even describe it. The name just says it all: Shift Happens. And it happens all the time in all sorts of colors. My pics of this are ok, but in real life this polish is even 100 times prettier.

This is 1 coat of Nubar Noir and 2 coats of Girly Bits Shit Happens.

Get it while you can!! It´s a perfect multichrome and just glows!
Love it!!

Have a great day and thanks for visiting!

Orly Country Club Khaki with a twist 7 Jun 2012 9:45 AM (12 years ago)

Hello ladies!

Oh wow, I can´t believe it has been almost a month since my last post! Sometimes I think I should just quit my blog, because it´s very hard to find time to post anything. But I love blogging when I have time, and I shouldn´t feel obligated to post every day. I hope people like my blog eventhough I´m not here every day.

Well, I do have something awesome to show you. I finally got Orly Country Club Khaki. Yay! And I applied like butter and is a lot more opaque than I expected. I only used 1 coat! Unbelievable! It´s a very pretty nude shade. But I decided I wanted something extra pretty. So I did some stamping with white Konad polish. And this is what it turned into.

I truly think this is a very beautiful combination. Nude with a twist. This is definitely something I will wear more often.

Thanks for stopping by!

A-England Ascalon 15 May 2012 7:30 AM (12 years ago)

Hello ladies!

A-England makes some of the best holos out there. They aren´t as much in your face as the Layla holos for instance, but in the sun they really are gorgeous. The one I´m showing you today is Ascalon. It´s a charcoal holo with a pink flash in some angles.

What I also like about A-England is that they ship free worldwide. Which means I don´t always have to order large amounts of polish just to justify the shipping. Love that! Wish more companies would do that.

Application was very smooth. I used 2 coats.

If you enlarge the last pic you can actually see some of the pink flash. It´s pretty!

Excuse the tipwear. Can you believe I almost forgot to take pictures of this one? These were taken after 3 days of wear...

What´s your favorite A-England polish? I think my favorite is St George, but I do love all of them.

Have a wonderful day!

Cult Nails Seduction 13 May 2012 7:30 AM (12 years ago)

Hi there!

After missing out on Clairvoyant, I knew I had to have the pretty Cult Nails Seduction. And it´s awesome! Get it while you can!

It has a purple jelly base with multicolor flakes. Nice!!

I used 1 coat of OPI Funky Dunkey and 2 coats of Seduction.

If you are a flakie lover like me you must admit you love this too.
This is really beautiful!

Thanks for stopping by and enjoy your day!

Ludurana Supremo 11 May 2012 7:30 AM (12 years ago)

Hello!

How are you all doing?
Today I´m showing you a holo Ludurana polish. And OMG, this is soooo gorgeous!! It´s a lavender holo. The first pic shows its true color best. This is really in my top 3 favorite holos right now.

It is a bit sheer, so I did use 3 coats. But no application problems at all. To keep the holo as strong as possible I used my OPI DS topcoat instead of a quickdry topcoat.

In the last 2 pics it looks a lot more purple, but it really is lavender and sooo beautiful!

Have a great day and thanks for watching!

Claire´s Magnetix Blue 10 May 2012 7:30 AM (12 years ago)

Hi ladies!

Sorry for being absent for so long, but sometimes I just can´t find time to blog.

Todays polish is one I wanted for a long time. Well, I actually wanted the Icing one. But then I saw this in the newly opened Claire´s just a few steps from my home and decided it must be the same.

This is just 1 coat. The dark blue is actually leaning much more purple in real life which makes this magnetic polish so cool!

I just wish this picture was a bit better so you can see why I love this so much.

Thanks for stopping by!

Nicole by OPI Canadian Star 25 Apr 2012 7:30 AM (12 years ago)

Hi ladies!

Todays polish has been on my wishlist for ages!! It was really hard to get my hands on it for a decent price, but now I finally got it. Yes!!

Canadian Star is pretty sheer though. I used 4 coats... But still, I love the color soooo much! Blue purple duochrome. And yes, I know, I own lots of those by now, but this one is definitely different from the others I have.

Let´s have a look.

Excuse the horrible tipwear. I had been really busy and almost forgot to take pictures. In real life it´s a bit more purple and bit less blue. But hey, you all know what happens when blue/purple meets camera...

Hope you like it! I definitely love it!!

Have a wonderful day!

Up Colors Beijo Na Boca 23 Apr 2012 7:30 AM (12 years ago)

Hello!

Recently I placed an order at Llarowe. They have so many great brands that I couldn´t resist. And the shipping fee is not ridiculously high.

One of the polishes I got is from Up Colors and is called Beijo Na Boca. No idea what that means, but ok, not important. It has a sheer jelly pink base with red and green flakies in it. The color shifting in those flakies was stronger than I expected. From swatches I had seen I thought it was mostly green and red what you were seeing. Nice surprise!

I used the black holo from Glitter Gal as I hoped the holo would still be visible after layering the flakies, but unfortunately not... I used 2 coats of Beijo Na Boca.

I still can´t get enough of flakies. They are in my top 3 of favorite polishes. Maybe it´s even my number one, I can´t decide.

Do you like flakies as much as I do?

Thanks for watching!!

Ebalay swatches: Duochromes!! 21 Apr 2012 7:00 AM (12 years ago)

Hello dear followers!

Today I´m showing a few swatches of the still very unknown brand Ebalay. This brand has some gorgeous duochromes which I will show you today.

All of them are swatched over 1 coat of Color Club Bewitching. And than 2 coats of the Ebalay. Unfortunately they don´t have names, just numbers.

So here we go. Let´s start with my favorite, Ebalay 005.

The color shifting isn´t that amazing in my pictures, but irl it´s pretty awesome!! It shifts from a deep plum purple to an orange gold and everything in between. Wow!

Next up is  Ebalay 011.

This one shifts purple, teal and many types of blue. Blue/purple is always hard to photograph. Or maybe it´s just me. I´ve had trouble catching the right colors on camera lately, I´m sorry for that.
This one is probably my second favorite, also really pretty.

Third is Ebalay 008

This one shifts goldish green, to orange and pink. Kind of like Space Cadet, but more vibrant. Another awesome shade!

And the last one is one I´ve showed you before, but I think it has to be in this post as well, so here we go, Ebalay 003

This one shifst green, gold and teal. Also very nice!!

They all have a similar finish as Orly Space Cadet and Model´s Own Purple Blue.

You can find Ebalay polishes at KKCenterHk. And I have a SPECIAL SURPRISE for you all. A coupon code for 10% discount. Sounds good right?!
The code is: mirannie
And you can use it untill 31st January 2013
Thanks for stopping by and enjoy your weekend!

These were sent to me for review.

Hits Apolo and Hera 19 Apr 2012 7:30 AM (12 years ago)

Hi ladies!

For todays manicure I couldn´t decide which one of my Hits I was going to wear first. So I decided to put both of the holos I got together in one mani.

Hits Hera and Hits Apolo. Both very beautiful shades that are really shiny. Most holos dry slightly matte, but these almost looked like jellies. Very beautiful! Application was good and both needed 2 coats. Which is a good thing, because the bottle is really small, so if they would need 3 coats, the polish would be gone in like 5 manicures. Now I hope I can at least enjoy them 7 times :P

Here are some pics for you guys.

The teal one is Hera and the blue one is Apolo. Unfortunately it wasn´t all that sunny the day I used these 2 pretties, but trust me, they are HOLO!

Which one is your favorite Hits holo?

Thanks for visiting and have a great day!

Models Own Indian Ocean 9 Apr 2012 7:30 AM (13 years ago)

Hi ladies!

A few days ago I showed you Nicole One Big Happy Fame-ily. Since my new Models Own Beetlejuices came in when I was wearing them and I had read all over the place that Indian Ocean was really sheer, I decided to layer it on top of One Big Happy Fame-ily. And it turned out to be a good combo. Although I´m really curious how it would look on a darker color too.

I used 2 coats of Indian Ocean and this is the result.

In real life the colors are much more vibrant, but you just have to trust me on that one.

I do have to admit that the new Beetlejuices are a bit of a disappointment unfortunately. I really hoped they would be awesome opaque duochromes. Layered Indian Ocean looks pretty. And Copper Pot looks pretty amazing in the bottle. But I´m pretty sure Tropical Sun is not a keeper.

Thanks for stopping by!

Lippmann Mermaid´s Dream 7 Apr 2012 7:00 AM (13 years ago)

Hello!

Today I´ve got an awesome polish for you. I´m not really a fan of these type of mint green polishes usually, but when I saw a promo pic of this one for the first time, I knew I had to have it. It´s gorgeous!

It´s not really mint green, I would call it seafoam green or something and it has small gold glitter and larger blue glitter. Its name matches perfectly.

I used 2 coats. Application was good. The only downside is the price. I mean, why on earth do some brands need to make their polish so much more expensive than others? It´s not like you get much better wear out of it, or much better application than other cheaper brands.

Anyway, let´s look at the pics.

Really stupid of me, but I forgot to take pics. So when I finally did take pictures, the sun was already gone... It does look more beautiful in the sun.

Enjoy your day!!

Nicole by OPI One Big Happy Fame-ily 5 Apr 2012 7:30 AM (13 years ago)

Hello!

I`ve got a new Nicole by OPI shade. It`s lilac with a silver shimmer. I know I hardly ever show you soft or light colors. I`m just not really into that. But when I saw a swatch of this one I knew I had to have it.

The color is much less blue than my pictures show, but you can imagine how beautiful it is.

At the first coat I thought it would never be opaque. And let me tell you, if you need a nice lilac sheer shimmer, just use 1 coat of One Big Happy Fame-ily. But with 3 coats it was opaque and beautiful.

Perfect for spring!

Thanks for watching and enjoy your day!

Hi there!

Not much to say about the pretty navy blue holo I´m showing you today. It´s holo, it´s smooth, applies like butter, 1 coater and I love the color.

Just drool with me :P

The rainbow is much stronger in real life, but ok...

Love it!

Catrice Genius In A Bottle 1 Apr 2012 7:30 AM (13 years ago)

Hi ladies!

Today one of my very few Catrice polishes. This is the one that is a close dupe for Chanel Peridot. And a cheap one too! Only 2,50 euro. It is a bit darker a bit more streaky, but other than that pretty close.

I used 2 coats. Application wasn´t awesome, but not too bad either.

It flashes all these great colors like Peridot: copper, gold, green.

Yes, it´s a nice substitute for the way too expensive Peridot.

A-England St George 30 Mar 2012 7:30 AM (13 years ago)

Hello!

Another green holo by A-England. Great! It´s a nice dark green, leaning a little teal, but it´s so much better than the one by Glitter Gal!

I used only one coat and it covered perfectly. Maybe when you are a person that uses really thin coats you might need 2. Application is so smooth with these A-England polishes!

Here are some pics.

In real life it really is more holo than the pics show. But you can see that it doesn´t dry matte or anything. This is without a topcoat. Look at it shine!

You can order A-England straight from their webshop for 9 pounds a bottle with FREE world wide shipping.
You´ve got to love those A-Englands! Well, I know I do.

Have a great day!

Ozotic 530 28 Mar 2012 7:30 AM (13 years ago)

Hi!

Today another Ozotic since I still haven´t shown you all of my gorgeous Ozotics. This is one of the Elytra´s, the duochrome glitters. The one shown today shifts orange, yellow, red and pink. I decided to layer it over a dark navy blue instead of black. So I used my beloved 1 coater: China Glaze Little Drummer Boy.

Yes, Elytra´s are great! I love all 3 of them.

Color Club Holiday Splendor 26 Mar 2012 7:30 AM (13 years ago)

Hello!

A few days ago I showed you Zoya Holly and I told you it was good for layering. Of course I tried that out. I used Holiday Splendor from Color Club. I think it could be opaque on its own too when you use 3 coats. But layered it´s easier to remove, so I decided to do that.

This is 1 coat of Holiday Splendor over 2 coats of Holly.
daylight, no sun

artificial light
There´s much more holo glitter in this polish than you can actually see in the pictures. I actually had a few pics where you saw all the holo, but my phone totally freaked out with those shots.

I think this is a pretty amazing polish. I would like to see it side by side with China Glaze Atlantis someday. So I hope I´ll have time to do a comparison anytime soon.

Have a nice day!
