The Ummah is Bleeding – Where Are You? 28 Mar 7:50 AM (12 days ago)

All praise is due to Allah, the Lord of the worlds. We send peace and blessings upon our beloved Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ), his family, companions, and all those who follow his guidance.

O Muslims!

Look at your screens. Look at Gaza. A genocide is unfolding before our eyes, live and unfiltered. Babies burned alive, women buried under rubble, fathers digging graves for their children, entire families erased from existence. Hospitals bombed. Starvation used as a weapon. The world watches in silence. And yet, the so-called leaders of the Muslim world sign deals, shake hands, and remain silent.

But the greater betrayal is ours. The betrayal of the silent Ummah.

The Prophet (ﷺ) said:

“The Ummah is like one body. If one part aches, the whole body suffers.”

Do we feel their pain as if it were our own? Or have we convinced ourselves that making dua is enough while we continue with our comfortable lives? Do we weep at night, unable to sleep, knowing that innocent children are being bombed while we tuck our own into bed? Or do we scroll past their suffering, whisper “May Allah help them,” and move on?

This is not Islam.

The Prophet (ﷺ) said:

“The destruction of the Kaaba is lighter in the sight of Allah than the spilling of a single drop of Muslim blood.”

Yet, we cry more over a broken phone than over the shattered skull of a Palestinian child. We fill the masajid, we fast, we make dhikr, but when the time comes to raise our voices, to stand for justice, to support our brothers and sisters in ways that matter—we are silent.

Allah commands us:

“O you who believe! Stand out firmly for justice, as witnesses to Allah, even if it is against yourselves or your parents and relatives…” (4:135)

This is a divine order. Standing for justice is not optional—it is an obligation.

And know this: Allah’s promise is true. Jerusalem will be liberated. Al-Aqsa will be freed. The Prophet (ﷺ) told us:

“A group from my Ummah will continue to fight upon the truth, victorious over their enemies, not harmed by those who oppose them, until the command of Allah comes while they remain in this state.”

The question is not if Palestine will be free—the question is, will you be part of its liberation, or will you be a bystander?

Will you be the one who raises their voice? Who sacrifices wealth? Who stands against oppression? Or will you simply watch history unfold, waiting for others to do the work?

We must act. We must support Gaza, not just with our prayers, but with our wealth, our voices, our time, and our effort. We must boycott those who fund this genocide. We must pressure governments. We must awaken the sleeping Ummah. We must teach our children that their Muslim brothers and sisters are their family—and family does not abandon each other.

The Prophet (ﷺ) said:

“None of you truly believes until he loves for his brother what he loves for himself.”

If your family was under siege, if your home was bombed, if your children were starving, would you want the Ummah to simply make dua and move on? No! You would want them to rise, to act, to fight for justice. So why do we accept less for Gaza?

O Muslims, wake up! Islam is not just about personal purification—it is about standing against oppression, being the voice of the voiceless, and defending the weak. If we remain passive, we will be asked on the Day of Judgment,

“Where were you when My servants cried for help?”

Will you have an answer?

Wake up Muslims. Share. Boycott. Protest. Post. Lobby. The power is with you, take it and use it.

May Allah awaken our hearts, strengthen our hands, and make us true believers—not just in words, but in action. Ameen.

ACTION ALERT: CHILD PSYCHIATRIST DEHUMANISING POSTS 22 Mar 7:39 AM (18 days ago)

ACTION ALERT: Demand Accountability for Dehumanising Comments Against Palestinians.

Subject: Child Psychiatrists Dehumanising Social Media Posts – Urgent Action Needed.

A practicing British child psychiatrist, Dr Girish Vaidya, has posted deeply offensive and dehumanising comments on social media targeting Palestinians. These posts minimise their suffering and uses derogatory language, contradicting the ethical principles of mental health professionals. A limited amount of screenshots have been taken for record purposes, as Dr Girish Vaidya has since made his profile private & posts can no longer be seen by the wider public.

Why This Matters:
◦ Ethical Violation: Mental health professionals have a duty to uphold the dignity and well-being of all human beings, regardless of background.
◦ Harmful Impact: dehumanising language fuels prejudice and contributes to a climate of discrimination and potential violence.
◦ Compromised Care: Such biases can severely compromise the psychiatrists ability to provide impartial and effective care.
◦ Public Trust: This incident erodes public trust in the mental health profession.

What We Are Demanding:

◦ A thorough investigation: We demand a transparent and thorough investigation by the psychiatrists employer, the children’s hospital, and relevant professional bodies.
◦ Disciplinary Action: We call for appropriate disciplinary action, including potential suspension or termination, depending on the investigation’s findings.
◦ Public Apology: We demand a public apology from the psychiatrist for the harm caused by their comments.
◦ Cultural Competency Training: We urge professional organisations to mandate comprehensive cultural competency training for all mental health professionals, focusing on the impact of bias and the importance of ethical conduct in the digital age.

MPACUK Support:

Support the investigation by MPACUK, and amplify our findings.

How You Can Take Action:
* Contact the Sheffield Children’s Hospital: scn-tr.complaints@nhs.net
* Express your concern about the psychiatrist’s comments and demand accountability.
* Respectfully request updates on the investigation.
* Contact Professional Organisations (GMC) : https://www.gmc-uk.org/concerns/supporting-you-with-your-concern
* File a formal complaint and demand action.
* Amplify on Social Media:
* Share this action alert and raise awareness using relevant hashtags.
* Tag the hospital, professional organisations, and media outlets.
* Share MPACUK’s posts and updates.
* Follow MPACUK on social media

Sample Message:

“I am deeply concerned about the dehumanising social media posts made by Dr Girish Vaidya at Sheffield Children’s Hospital targeting Palestinians. I urge you to conduct a thorough investigation and take appropriate disciplinary action. Such language is unacceptable and violates the ethical principles of your profession. As a parent I do not feel safe having such a doctor within the vicinity of children, as Muslims we feel deeply unsafe with a member of staff having such views. When doctors and nurses are being dismissed for simply wearing badges of support for Palestine, I do not understand why you would not take the appropriate action against a member of staff for expressing such views openly.”

Let’s stand together to demand accountability and protect the well-being of all children.

In the Last 10 Nights: Stand with the oppressed – Not just in prayer, but in action 22 Mar 1:59 AM (18 days ago)

As the last ten nights of Ramadan descend upon us, the hearts of Muslims are lit with devotion, reflection and an intensified longing to draw closer to truth and justice. We increase our duas, we weep in Qiyam, and we call out for relief for the oppressed across the globe. But here’s the truth — our tears are not enough. Our protests alone are not enough. Signing another petition is not enough. It’s time to act. And that’s exactly what MPACUK is here to do.

Who are we?

MPACUK are grassroots, no-nonsense, unapologetic, action-driven organisation to defend and protect the rights of our oppressed brothers and sisters — those silenced, abused, exiled and persecuted simply because they believe in Islam. Our mission is simple: we do not accept silence as a strategy, and we are committed to fighting back with strategy, law, and relentless advocacy. But let’s not sugarcoat it — none of this is possible without you.

We all give to feed the hungry — But what’s causing the hunger?

Donating to feed starving families and victims of conflict is vital. Absolutely. May we never stop. But let’s be honest with ourselves for a moment. These crises didn’t emerge from thin air. The root causes? Systemic oppression. Political disenfranchisement. Religious persecution. Mass disinformation. And the dehumanisation of Muslims. If we only ever give to treat the symptoms — food, water, blankets — we are just firefighting. The flames will keep rising. Until we tackle the actual causes, we will be stuck in an endless loop of crisis and relief.

Where Will Your Money Go?

When you support MPACUK, you are investing in change that lasts:

In these final, blessed nights of Ramadan, we rush to seek Laylatul Qadr. We recite, we remember, we repent. But let us not forget: action for justice is worship. The Prophet Muhammed (peace be upon him) didn’t just make dua — he did. Supporting organisations like MPACUK is not charity, it is duty.

If we abandon the institutions that rise up for us, we are not only abandoning the oppressed — we are abandoning ourselves. And if we go silent, who will speak up for us when it’s our turn? Let us be the ones who stood up, not just in supplication but in sacrifice. Let us fund the fight.

Formal Complaint Regarding The Recent Invitation Extended To Zionist Supporters At Ilford Islamic Centre 11 Mar 12:37 PM (29 days ago)

11th March 2025

Dear Ilford Islamic Center Committee,

We wish this letter could be written in better circumstances, however, this letter constitutes a formal objection to the recent invitation extended to Local MPs and Councillors identified as supporters of Israel to your mosque.

We, your local community, find this decision to be profoundly unacceptable and a serious breach of the trust placed in the mosque’s leadership.

Furthermore, we are deeply disturbed by the racist, Islamophobic and completely untrue post shared by council member Judith Garfield, in which it was stated, ‘Muslims are born to hate Jews’. FORMO sent a formal complaint to the council regarding this post in 2023.

Mosques have always maintained that they are apolitical- especially when challenged on speaking on political matters affecting Muslims, so why have the mosque decided to become political by inviting these individuals.

Your priority should be serving and uplifting your community, not providing a platform for Islamophobic councillors or for the likes of Ilford North MP, Wes Streeting, who shows no compassion for the suffering of Palestinians. It is disgraceful to extend invitations to individuals who persecute NHS staff for opposing genocide whilst openly aligning themselves with the IOF. At a time when

Muslims are grieving the atrocities unfolding in Palestine, your actions are deeply offensive and an insult to the congregation you claim to serve.

And then you had Ilford South MP, Jas Atwal, whose conduct as a landlord has fallen far below acceptable standards. Rather than being welcomed and honoured, he should be held to account and cast out. Furthermore, despite the alarming rise in Islamophobia locally, he has done nothing meaningful to challenge or address it. Your decision to associate with such figures is both irresponsible and indefensible.

The Zionist ideology, by its very nature, is predicated on the dispossession and ongoing oppression of the Palestinian people. To provide a platform for such a viewpoint within our mosque, a place of worship and community, is a direct affront to the principles of justice, human rights, and solidarity with the oppressed that Islam mandates.

This action has caused significant distress and division within our congregation. It creates an environment where members of our community, particularly those with a personal connection to the Palestinian struggle, and those who have been targeted by racist remarks, feel alienated and betrayed.

Furthermore, it undermines the mosque’s credibility as a moral authority and a safe haven for all Muslims.

We draw the line at aligning in alliance with zionism and those reprehensible individuals that cheer lead the genocide of Palestine. This is the ultimate betrayal, and your actions will not be forgotten.

We demand a formal response addressing the following:
* A clear explanation of the rationale behind the invitation, including the vetting process for invited speakers, and the cost involved in holding this event.
* A public acknowledgement of the harm caused by this decision.
* A commitment to appropriate disciplinary action should the allegations be substantiated.
* A commitment to a transparent and inclusive process for future selection, ensuring that such a grievous error is not repeated.
* A commitment to creating a safe space for dialogue on the Palestinian issue and addressing racism & Islamphobia within the mosque community.
Failure to address these concerns adequately will result in further action, including but not limited to, the mobilisation of community members to ensure that the mosque upholds its fundamental values and creates a safe and inclusive environment for all.

Rejection Of The Accords – Joint Statement 4 Mar 1:08 AM (last month)

For Release on 3rd March 2025 at 12.30pm

The Drumlanrig Accords signed by members of the Muslim Community and the Chief Rabbi, Ephraim Mirvis, on 11th February 2025

We, the undersigned, as representatives of the Muslim Community make this statement with respect to the recent signing of the joint Accords between the self-appointed leaders of the Muslim Community and the Chief Rabbi, Ephraim Mirvis.
Dr Sayed Razawi, Imam Qari Asim MBE and the other Muslim signatories, failed to consult widely with grassroot organisations supported by the Muslim Community before they signed these Accords with the Chief Rabbi, a staunch Zionist. Rabbi Mirvis has supported Israel’s war on the Palestinians in Gaza (part of the ‘Occupied Palestinian Territories’) where 61,709 Palestinian civilians have been killed, wiping out entire family bloodlines and 111,588 civilians injured. Israel has dropped over 85,000 tonnes of bombs over one of the world’s most populated areas in the world where over 50% of the population are children. The whole of Gaza has been completely levelled including churches, mosques, the entire health system and the housing infrastructure.

We cannot in good faith acknowledge these Accords when the Chief Rabbi has made public statements supporting Israel despite the horrific actions of the Israeli Occupation Forces. This is even more so when Israeli leaders, Knesset members, Israel’s Ambassador to the UK and the defence minister have made genocidal statements against Christians and Muslims only because they are Palestinian Arabs.
These self-appointed Muslims were fully aware that they only represent a small minority of the overall British Muslim population. As an example, one of the signatories, the ‘Chief Imam’ represents less than 1% of the entire British Muslim Community. Imam Qari Asim, a senior Imam at Makkah Mosque and co-chair of the recently launched, British Muslim Network, represents even less Muslims. Yet despite this, they proceeded to sign the Accords with an individual who condemned the UK blocking minor arm sales to Israel during its genocide of the Palestinians. The majority of the British Muslim Community do not even know who these individual Muslim signatories are.

Their actions and decisions were made independently without consulting the wider Muslim Community. Of course, should the Chief Rabbi’s position change and he condemn the genocide and apartheid being enacted against the Palestinian people, we would welcome a collective multi-faith movement against oppression led jointly with the Rabbi. Until then, we wholly reject these Accords made purportedly on behalf of the Muslim Community. A central facet of Islam is the complete rejection of oppression. As a Community, we do not shy away from rejecting oppression in all its forms against anyone.
We strongly advise that both representatives of the Government and leaders of other faith groups do not attempt to select Muslims by holding them up as key leaders representing the Muslim Community when this is far from the truth. Only the Muslim Community chooses who represents them.

We are wholly supportive of interfaith relations where it is carried out in good faith. We note the significant rise in anti-Muslim hatred within the Jewish community and support engagement on challenging hatred in all its forms.
We urge all parties involved to seek proper consultation and dialogue with grassroot leadership organisations supported by the British Muslim Community before taking such decisions in the future.

We thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

Miriam Khan on behalf of Legal Action for Peace said “In the first month of Israel’s assault, 85,000 tonnes of explosives were dropped on Gaza, an open-air prison. There can be no support or justification for the ethnic cleansing of a people that are occupied by a military state supported by our government and the USA. We say firmly that this was a racist war supported by imperialist powers. We cannot join hands with anyone that supports Israel’s actions in Gaza where at least 61,709 Palestinians have been slaughtered.”

Massoud Shadjareh, Chair of Islamic Human Rights Commission, said “This episode has been wrong on so many levels. Foremost among these is the dissonance between the anti-genocide, anti-occupation sentiment of the Muslim community and the position taken by a few figures claiming to represent them. The key question here is, why is the establishment taking such figures seriously or has it indeed simply chosen them to silence the pro-Palestine sentiment of not just Muslims but clearly the majority of people in the UK?”

Ali Mohammed, CEO of Muslim Public Affairs Committee UK said “Any so called ‘Muslim leaders’ that are cherry picked by this Government that has aided and abetted the Zionist regime’s genocide against the Palestinian people, must be wholeheartedly rejected. They have betrayed the Ummah at the highest level.

Britain’s Chief Rabbi has said using the term “genocide” to describe Israel’s actions in Gaza, is an “increasingly frequent, disingenuous misappropriation of the term” despite experts (which he is not) in the field describing Israel’s actions as genocide.

The Chief Rabbi, a key lobbyist for Zionists, and these hand picked Muslim cronies are separated by a few degrees in their role for what is taking place in the Occupied Palestinian Territories (OPT) and the hatred being levelled at British Muslims.”

Ramadan 2025 28 Feb 7:30 AM (last month)

Ramadan Kareem from MPACUK.

As you enter this sacred month, do so with unshakable faith and a fierce commitment to justice.

The Ummah is facing unprecedented trials – the ongoing genocide of the Palestinian people, the atrocities in Sudan and the Congo to name only a few. Our hearts ache, but our resolve is stronger than ever.

“We sent Our Messengers with clear signs, the Scripture and the Balance, so that people could uphold JUSTICE.”
Surah Al-Hadid: 25

Our prayers and remembrance are not passive rituals – they are a call to action. Taqwa; true consciousness of Allah demands that we stand, speak and fight for justice.

You have the power to make a difference. Stand with the oppressed. Lift your voice. Take action.

Allah sees all that you and knows what you are capable of doing, even if you choose not to.

May Allah accept your deeds and amplify our efforts. This Ramadan, let us move forward with purpose and unwavering determination.

Guest Post: British Transport Police Fails Victim of Racist Attack: A Call for Accountability 26 Feb 12:23 PM (last month)

Finsbury Park, London – A Muslim woman and prominent campaigner, Maz Saleem has come forward to expose systemic failures and institutional racism within the British Transport Police (BTP) Finsbury Park, following a violent, racist and islamophobic attack on the London Underground by Gary Graham, who has pleaded guilty to the charges.

Despite the victim providing video evidence and the presence of a key witness, the tube conductor, BTP officers failed to interview him as part of their investigation. The attack took place in October 2023. The case languished for over a year, with the police taking action only after the victim reported them to the Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC). The perpetrator, a known racist, pleaded guilty in November 2024 and eventually fined a mere £400, payable in monthly instalments of £50. A penalty the victim describes as “a joke.”

The victim, who suffers from severe PTSD and physical injuries including whiplash, feels deeply let down by the police. “This isn’t just about one attack. It’s about systemic institutional racism. Islamophobia is rife, and the institutions that are supposed to protect us are failing us. I had to push and escalate my complaint just to get them to take this seriously.”

The survivor also revealed a disturbing pattern of neglect from officers assigned to her case. Despite being located just across the road from the police station, she was forced to visit the station in person to meet with Sergeant Samantha Lowes. Another officer, PC Momota, has never met her, yet she repeatedly received emails claiming the officers were “on holiday.”

Her trauma is further compounded by personal history—her late father, Mohammed Saleem, was murdered in 2013 by Ukrainian Nazis in a brutal Islamophobic attack. “The PTSD from that tragedy is still raw, and this case has only added to it. I feel completely abandoned by the institutions that are supposed to protect people like me.”

Jeremy Corbyn and the victim’s local MP have been notified about this case, though no substantial action has been taken to date.

The victim is calling for a full investigation into how the British Transport Police handled her case, alongside systemic reforms to address the racism and Islamophobia embedded within the institution.

Action Alert – No More Israeli dates 23 Feb 11:49 AM (last month)

MPACUK encourage the public to report stores selling date boxes labelled ‘Made in Palestine’ and those without company details on the packaging. You can find details of the trading standards team of your local council on your local council’s website. You can also use the search box on this page.

A template is provided for emailing your local council’s food standards compliance team:

Subject: Complaint – Mislabeling of Products

Dear Sir/Madam,

I am writing to raise concerns about misleading labels on the following products:

• Product one name
• Product two name

These items are being sold at:

• Shop 1
• Shop 2

The packaging falsely states “Produce of xxxx” (see attached photos), when in fact they originate from illegal Israeli settlements in the Occupied West Bank. The UK government, UN, and EU consider these settlements unlawful, and mislabelling prevents consumers from making informed ethical choices.

Additionally, the product fails to display the manufacturer’s details, breaching FSA guidance on food packaging. Under the Food Labelling Regulations 1996 (5f), food must be correctly labelled if omission would mislead consumers about its origin. This mislabelling also violates:

1. The Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regulations 2008, which prohibits false or misleading product information.
2. Government guidance on food labelling, requiring manufacturer/importer details to prevent deception.
3. DEFRA guidance, which states products from the Occupied Palestinian Territories must be labelled as “Produce of the West Bank (Israeli settlement produce)”—not as Israeli products or from xxxx.

These products deliberately obscure their true origin and lack required labelling, misleading consumers and potentially violating multiple regulations. I urge Trading Standards to investigate, ensure these products are removed, and take action against those responsible.

I look forward to your response.

Yours faithfully,

[Your Name]

Action Alert: Hold The BBC Accountable 9 Feb 11:25 AM (last month)

On 5th February 2025, BBC News published an article about the terrorist mass-shooting in Sweden, in which the main image used was of a person of colour instead of the alleged perpetrator, a white Swedish male with a far right background.

The picture used by the BBC was of Ismael Moradi, a Kurdish immigrant to Sweden, who is a student at a school next to the adult learning centre that was attacked by Rickard Andersson, whose picture or image wasn’t even mentioned or used by the BBC.

The sensationalist framing and use of Moradi’s photo—removing the flowers he held for the victims, have caused widespread confusion, leading people to wrongly assume he was responsible for the attack.
With the Rafi Berg affair and the accusations of a deeply racist/ islamophobic entrenchment of beliefs among the leadership at the BBC refusing to go away, we do not see this as a isolated mistake but part of a larger pattern in media coverage that perpetuates racial bias.

With the current situation in the UK and last summer’s race riots fresh in the memory, it is clear that this a deliberate attempt at misinformation and propaganda by a BBC article that is meant to play the role of an impartial observer and to report events without any bias. As a public funded body, that you, the reader funds through the BBC license, you cannot allow the BBC to get away with such potentially damaging reporting without any consequence.

ACT NOW

Make a complaint to the BBC using their online complaint form.

Use the details below to fill in the online form:https://www.bbc.co.uk/contact/complaints/make-a-complaint/
• What is your complain about? – TV (programmes/schedule)
• Which TV channel or service is your complaint about? – BBC one
• Are you contacting us about a previous complaint? – No
• What is the subject of your complaint? – Breach of Accuracy & Due Impartiality on BBC Politics London
• Please enter your complaint:
“I want to complain about the transparent bias in BBC.co.uk/news/articles
This is a clear breach of Section 3 and 4 of the BBC editorial guidelines: ‘Accuracy’ and ‘Due Impartiality’.”
• Select the best category to describe your complaint – Factual Error or Inaccuracy
• What is the programme title – https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/crm71dmkjjyo
• When was it broadcasted? – 5th February 2025
• Do you require a response to your complaint? – Yes

Spread this action alert to all your contacts, remember to be polite but be firm and the larger the volume of complaints, the more likely the BBC is to act on it.
Keep us posted with the responses you receive!

Dear Imams of the West 8 Feb 10:47 AM (2 months ago)

Asalaam Alaikum.

Our Ummah is bleeding.  Those who hate us have plans for our First Qiblah to be destroyed.  As you are the leader of the Ummah in your area, we ask you what have you done about it?  What have you done to stop the thousands of children being killed in Gaza?

As taxpayers to a country which is complicit in aiding a Genocide how many times have you discussed this issue with your MP?  Many times, your Masjid Committee have discussed issues regarding car parking and extensions to your masjid, however how many times have you asked your congregation to raise their voices to their MPs regarding Palestine? This didn’t start on Oct 7th, you have had decades to organise your congregation, but you have chosen to remain silent.  What will you say to Allah, when He asks you what you did to help the oppressed?

You often quote hadiths in which we should follow, but we would like to quote a hadith to you.

The best jihad is the truth in the face of a tyrannical ruler. Sunan al-Nasā’ī 4209

Yes, you can’t speak to Netanyahu, however you can speak to your MP, with hundreds of brothers in your congregation.  Our strength is in our numbers.  You can organise to make a difference if you want to.

In 1992 when the war on our brothers and sisters In Bosnia took place, our youth were disfranchised and your silence in the matter was abhorrent, likewise your silence today can be mistaken for complicity.

As Muslims, it is our duty to defend the oppressed, yet your silence lets the oppressors continue this genocide.

You may think that if you say something against the Apartheid State that it may get you on the wrong side of the law.  Then learn what you can and cannot say.  Learn how to say with confidence that Genocide is wrong, then teach your congregation of hundreds of Muslims to stand for the truth and say ‘One day inshaAllah Palestine will be free’.

The Battle of Badr was for survival.  The Quraish were much more in number.  Allah showed that if Muslims take a stand then He will strengthen them in ways that they could never imagine.

You need to act today.  Plan to organise yourselves.

This is for the survival of our brothers, sisters and children in Palestine.  And Masjid Al Asqa.

Imagine this, that thousands, hundreds of thousands of Muslims in the UK write to their MP and start to rattle the cage of this MP – Zionist love affair.  Imagine thousands of Muslims writing to the BBC saying that they will cancel the license fees.

This is when they will start to listen and take us seriously.

Muslims have never done this, but it is your job to guide your congregation to a path of justice.

If you want to start but don’t know how to, get in touch with our Volunteers at MPACUK.  We are waiting for this movement to start.

May Allah give our Ummah strength to do the right thing Ameen.

Your fellow Muslims.

MPACUK
