Hello Book Lovers!! We are now taking used books on donation to help our neighbors make room for new great reads! Do you have a box (or 3) of well-loved books, but just don't have the space for them anymore? Or are you trying to make room for new reads? We would be happy to help find them new homes. Feel free to ask about our Donation policy and see some other discounted books at the back of our store. Now is the best time of year to cuddle up with a hot drink and a good book awaiting those warmer days ahead. And you never know, you might need a new beach read for your upcoming summer vacations! We are happy to accept gently used books to resell discounted in our store and find them new homes.
A $250 annual membership in Giovanni's Book Club includes a 15% discount on all purchases of in stock merchandise and your choice of genre on the popular trend; “Blind Date with a Book”. These will be not-yet-released proof copies, so you get to read something no one else has yet! Your Blind Date will arrive every month, with a thank you note from us and some extra gifts to make it that much more special.
Why join now?
The Bookloft has been a Berkshire Institution since 1974, and I hope to bring it another fifty years of success and help grow the business within our community.
As you may know, I became the third owner of the Bookloft after six years as a bookseller and manager. I am an expert in understanding the trends of our customers and within the literary world.
As you know, The Bookloft faces challenges from online sellers. Over the past year I have adjusted our business model to better address this challenge. Specifically, we have expanded our ability to fill special orders and to keep more of our most popular inventory on hand. We are also bringing in more local authors and artisans to offer their creative wares.
I am confident the new model will prove successful, profitable and sustainable over time. For now we need your support.
Joining Giovanni’s Book Club is a meaningful and essential way to help us thrive as we grow.
Thank you for taking the time to consider joining as a founding member - your support will help us remain a thriving part of the local economy and community .
Best Regards,
Giovanni
