I got my first bass on the fly rod yesterday, I was using a popper fly. I'm still really bad at casting it, but it's a lot of fun catching bass and pan fish on the fly.

I was able to get out again tonight after work. That wake bait has been working pretty well for me, thanks for the tip. I also took the yak out on Sunday and paddled around for about six hours or so...
